What I absolutely love about this video Anthony is the fact that clean AF OEM+ goals are simply achievable even with a modest budget that will definitely look great until you can drop the big bucks on big brakes! Thank you for your contribution to the community to show anything is possible with minimal effort. Anyways man, great series thus far!
@@ALLDAYANTHONY my goodness... I should have proofread that before submitting but by my guess you got what I meant! It was a long day at work and was enjoying a delicious Wallace Idaho Vindicator while watching! Hopefully this is the last of the snow in our region and the detailing season is here soon!
I used the same caliper paint on my car. It has really held up even after a year. I love that grease and dirt just slides off of it. The only downside is that the paint dries up even with the can sealed tight.
I rarely take time to write a comment, but man do your videos make my day, I too am a ocd enthusiast and Honda lover Thank you for taking the time to make these videos, hard work really pays off, and you can tell how much work you put in your videos. Thank you
I think that this paint works a lot better for a floating caliper setup. When I used it for my brembos it ended up leaving a lot of brush strokes and was pretty frustrating. You also have to be careful as it dries on things VERY well and can be difficult to remove. Wear gloves.
I think the rotors are installed backwards the passenger side rotors are on the driver side and the driver side rotors are on the passenger. Look at the direction the slot rotate.
Just so you know, you don’t need those rotor screws. All those do is hold the caliper in place when you take the brakes off other than that whenever you take the wheel off the brakes will keep it in place.
Great Video! I was thinking of getting the G2 caliper paint, but I saw in the reviews that it got tough to work with as the painting went on and by the end, the hardener was almost impossible to go on smooth - what was your experience? Did brush on easy the whole time? Looked great in the video, how has it held up over the last year. Thanks for great video.
Love this video. Brings me back when I did the same setup but the sport pads. Lasted so long and literally little to no brake dust. Wish I did the rears as well. I personally love the silver caliper look. But the black goes so well with your car.
I GOTTA SAY THAT THUMBNAIL IS A GREAT PICTURE TO START THE VIDEO THAT G·2 PAINT LOOKS GOOD TEMPTING I'D EVEN THOUGH I'VE THOUGHT OF "BLACK POWDER COAT" FOR CALIPERS, FORK & KNUCKLE ARM DO TO MY NEIGHBOR ACROSS MY STREET WORKS AT A SHOP DOING THAT IS CONVINCING ME TO DO IT BY THE LOOK THIS G·2 PAINT AS WELL I CAME OUT REALLY GOOD CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE NEXT VIDEO SURE IT'S WITH YOO HOME·BOY JASON CAUSE THAT'S BEEN THE HOME·BOY THAT ASSISTS WITH COILOVERS YOU BOTH BANG OUT A GREAT GOOD PLUS FOR THE PRICES OF THAT PAINT THEY SHOULD ADD SOME CHEESY JOKES LIKE THE POPSICLE I'M EATING RIGHT THANKS ANTHONY CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT VIDEO ✌🏼OUT POPSICLE JOKE: HOW DOES THE OCEAN GREET THE BEACH ?? " IT WAVES "
dude i've had all notifications on for your channel since i subbed and i still probably get them only a quarter of the time. you're literally the only channel that i have experienced issues like this before, idk what's goin on.
Literally doing all the same things to my recent 06 type s acquisition. New headlights ordered, it’s in PDR now and then off to have the front Resprayed and installing a double din this week, brakes next week lol. 06 with 180k too but my floor mats were covered their whole lives so they look new
@@ALLDAYANTHONY They are lighter than Brembos and they come with an adapter, with Brembos sincw they don’t come exactly for the RSX other than the Integra DC5, people make modifications around the hub and such methods are irreversible. So you’re better off with Wilwoods especially if your wheels are 17”.
Looks good! I suppose if it's still on stands, you could refresh the muffler with some new high temp black paint. I had a Ktuned catback system but went back to the OEM system but repainted the muffler and polished the tip.
I just had the shop (couldn't get the screws in the rotors out) install the EBC USR rotors front and back, new stainless lines and Stop Tech Street Touring pads and I'm trying to figure out what is wrong. Car has been bled twice, but there is zero bite. It slows down slowly, can't make it do anything even close to stock. Shop believes the pads are junk, as did the alignment shop (installed the RCA balljoints, sway bar endlinks and rear trailing arm bushings as well). So, ordered some Project Mu B Force/Spec pads... hopefully this fixes things because it has been super disappointing.
Been watching your videos for years and you always do a great job of being detailed in explaining everything. I’m an EVO guy but wouldn’t mind doing an RSX OEM+ build. Such a great platform.
Thanks for sharing this video Anthony. I just ordered a G2 custom color of velocity blue for my Mustang. Hoping my calipers will turn out as well as yours did.
Dude I love your videos man. Keep bringing the killer content! Also, you ever want to go b series in the civic .. you let me know 😂 I’ll drive my happy butt up there to good ol Idaho, and we’ll swap it in a day!👌🏻
I’ll be curious to see how the G2 paint holds up for you. I used it on my calipers and it chipped in several places after less than 6 months, and it discolored (red paint turned black) in a few spots on my calipers. The discoloration did happen at a track day so I guess I managed to get the calipers hot enough to burn the paint..
I am going to do this on my 02 type s. My question is why the G2 Paint oppose to a Dupli-Color caliper paint? I need to order paint and your input would be appreciated. Ordering today or tomorrow. Anyone else have good history with spray caliper paint for our cars?
@@ALLDAYANTHONY I just feel it’s way more tedious than spray paint. But my real question is how long more does it last than spray paint. Also why didn’t you do a gloss clear coat?
Just used the G2 paint my car last weekend before this video lmao i ended up loving it, i used red on my 335i and it looks great so far. Well worth it until I can get a real brake kit on there
The rotors are one backwards I'm pretty sure. When I did my brakes for my E46, the slots in the rotors are supposed to point forward, not backwards. Also, slotted rotors DO NOT decrease stopping distance. They help with temperatures slightly, but they are really meant to help combat brake glazing.
question, bought a pristine White type s for 11,500$ for 90k miles(body) clean title BUT is has 11k+$ worth of maintenance done including a brand new k20a2 block with semi built engine (forge pistons/rings, Manley rods and cartel 3.2 cams) and tuned everything else is completely stock. also included with hondata k pro interior looks like brand new all done at 75k miles was it worth it? makes 216hp and 155tq(conservative tune) original keys and window sticker included my question is, was it worth it? all done by K Powered in North Palm Springs , Ca
@@ALLDAYANTHONY That’s where I’ll go with, they use it on competition & time attack. Get the _500_ one for street use. Can’t recommend them more than enough.
Opening the cap allows the piston to full compress without putting pressure in the reservoir. I actually had to remove a good amount of fluid after the job was done!
