well done! I like this because you can do it on uneven ground. The typical horizontal way works well but I always have problems with the ground not being level.

Exactly! This was basically the prep for that alligator snapper enclosure, since it’s on a slope. That one will be even more work and I’m debating telephone poles or torched boards

Hey Greg! Love your channel man, you're one of the BEST! I just picked up two rescue Adult female Russians, I am in upstate, SC (zone 7B) Can I keep these two girls outside all year? Do hawks bother them? Thank you man!

Never had issues with hawks. With a good winter bunker, should overwinter just fine.

Cool pen for the Tortoises--I'm sure they'll love it. Question for you... it looks like a wooded neighborhood you're living in and was wondering what predator (especially raccoons--I recently watched a local FB group member post a video with a raccoon taking down a large snapper and saw another on RU-vid where a guy lost some Box Turtles to one) precautions you take? Thanks and keep em coming.

The burrows are hard to see, but all over in there. The new ones are inside their little “house”

No you should probably get an electric fence or put some screen over the cage

greg i want to discuss one issue with you this year i am noticing that some of my turtles hind limbs are swollen this is not some kind of fluid in there tissue but its more like something firm and swollen two of turtles died earlier i just thought i may be due to some natural or temperature change or may be i dont know but now same thing happen with my black spotted pond turtle the larger female so i want to know from you do u know anything in this regard

Why dont you let all your turtles and tortoises run free in your garden, you secure the borders of rhe garden and boom, they wont escape and they have so much room...

Well, as cool as that would be, there is an entire litany of reasons why that wouldn’t work; first off, pathogens from different species and colonies might cause illness or worse, the sulcatas would surely destroy the plant life around the ponds and bully the box turtles, the aquatics like the cooters would hop into different ponds and eat all the vegetation, and the alligator snappers would eat them all. So there’s a reason all keepers create bordered enclosures, for animals safety and health 👍🏼
