Hey Interior Auto Mechanic!! I have been loving your videos and honestly have a bunch of questions. I have done a cold air intake, 2az throttle body and ported my intake manifold. Did you find doing the injectors was worth it and worked well? Also you said you have an Intake manifold spacer. What spacer was it and should I also do that if I wanted to do the injectors. Lastly, unrelated but I have been trying to get in contact with FTG Tunning and have had no response, any clue why? Im assuming they are busy or something. Sorry for all the questions, a response would be seriously appreciated because I am a little clueless with figuring this stuff out!! Thanks for all the info you have provided the yaris community!!

@@cyrillegreasley7254 Hey there! Happy to hear that you have been enjoying the videos! I'll have more to come soon! To answer your questions: #1 I'd recommend doing the injectors without them you run the risk of your car running lean because you are adding more Air. Anytime you add more air you should ideally add more fuel so that your air fuel ratio will stay the same. Too lean (too much air) and you'll burn valves too rich (too much fuel) you'll wash the cylinder walls out neither of which are good. Its all about finding a happy balance; so far so good with my set-up however yours may differ. Be sure to do new o-rings if you decide to upgrade your injectors. #2 the intake spacer I have is a Tooter spacer. Unfortunately they are not made anymore so you'll have to try and find a used one. I just got lucky and found mine on Facebook marketplace. I'd recommend checking out the Yarisworld forum and see if anyone has one they'd be willing to sell. This is not a necessary mod. #3 Most likely FTG is in the middle of their racing season. I'd recommend continuing to email them and possibly look for a response a little later in the year when their racing season has cooled down. Feel free to reach out anytime with questions, I'm happy to answer them! Good luck with your project!

Have you done an updated video yet? Interested in seeing if upgrade gave you a bit more hp and torque (mid-range or top end) and if check engine light popped up.

Have you driven the car since the injector swap? Typically I am carry of moving up in injector size without modifying base settings in the ecu. But if it's a small size jump, I could see where it would be of benefit. Loving the build!

I haven't driven it just yet. Currently I'm waiting on shifter cable bushings to arrive. I'll be installing them along with some other transmission parts and filming all of that next. Once that is done I'll take it out for a drive and see how it does, I'll be sure to make a video on that as well. Thanks for the kind words I appreciate it! How much HP can you achieve by injector swap
@TheInteriorAutoMechanic
@TheInteriorAutoMechanic 10 месяцев назад
You would not want to just do an injector swap if everything else is stock and unmodified. The reason we did the injector swap is because we were adding more air by having the ported intake manifold, larger throttle body, and cold air intake. If you were to upgrade you injectors with no other mods, your car will be running rich and your fuel economy will go down. Plus most likely you'll just lose horsepower because of the richer air fuel ratio. It will not be burning efficiently and giving you optimal power.

Awesome 😎 stuff, thanks for the knowledge, planing to beef up my 1nz , watched your video and kinda got curious how much HP I can achieve with the exact mods you did ,mind sharing thanks!

@@user-zf5hh7wm3kno problem at all! I haven't taken it to the Dyno yet. If I had to guess I would say I've gained somewhere around 30ish horsepower over stock with everything I've done. It may not sound like a ton but it has definitely made the car more fun to drive. Please consider liking the videos and subscribing to the channel.
