The warm to this barre class is two classic barre and pilates movements for lower back mobility. These movements will help reduce lower back stiffness and free up the space you need to access your core more efficiently.
Then we will begin the workout portion with our classic barre ab curl that will strengthen your deep core , pelvic floor and lower abdominals all in one move. If you are new to the deep core broth work often taught in pilates class, I will provide an overview before the first rep.
In true barre class style we will layer in moments from here and then transition into a gentle yet effective flow of movements.
What's included: back exercises that are done without any equipment, tummy flattening and waistline slimming core exercises especially for a woman's body and exercise that use your core and back together to improve your posture.
Athletically, I find this workout to be helpful for improving a golf swing. The exercises in this barre class will strengthen your ability to rotate through your golf swing both the concentrically and eccentrically providing a smoother golf swing and preserving your lower back.
*** Since lower back pain often comes from a weak core and tight Quadratus Lumborum, this barre class is also beneficial to those looking to reduce lower back pain.
