@@blackmanskeeper_ This was first diagnosed in 2013 and was as a result of living in a damp flat, I was told there was no cure. I was also told that they come and go, and in the fullness of time will just go. He was right, it just went. Unfortunately it came back again and again, although I'd removed all the mould in my flat and bought a dehumidifier. I'm in a new place which doesn't have damp and the last URI lasted 2 years - yes 2 effing years. It suddenly stopped 8 weeks ago and I thought 'yippee!' I had my covid booster jab 4 weeks ago which has brought it back. My doctor told me that there is no cure, as does all the information online. I am going to request more tests.
Antibiotics are for bacteria. An upper respiratory infection is caused by a virus. Antibiotics wouldn't do anything. The video didn't do a great job explaining that.
Here’s how it went with my dumbass dr: “Is it a virus?” Dr: idk maybe “How long will it take to get better?” Idk it varies “What is it?” Idk “Can you do anything to help me?” Dr: No
The Dr told me that I tested negative for strep and that I probably have UTI.... I informed her that my throat has been hurting going on 3 weeks... she said to let it run its course.... it's been about a month in a half.... and I still have a sore throat....
I've had this for 2 days now I searched it up on Google I have all the symptoms and I'm panicking cause I have a 2nd dose on December 21. tomorrow I'm gonna go get a checkup Wish me luck My name is joseph moron and I'm 13
Mine is an annoying itchy cough in the back of my throat. This is at it's worst when trying to sleep at night. This was first diagnosed back in 2013 and caused by living in a damp flat. They tend to come and go and I was told there is no cure, but they tend just to stop. This has happened on and off over the last 8 years. But one started just over 2 years ago and never left and I was resigned to buying Lockets (by the box) an excellent honey and menthol cough drop here in England I thought it was with me forever and I accepted I would lose all my teeth due to the sugar content in the cough drops. But lo; it just stopped about 5 weeks ago, I was very happy. I then had to have my covid booster jab, and was ill for a couple of days, and now it's back, and I have a couple of boxes of cough drops. And no, antibiotics do not work.
Oh hun the vaccine has zero to do with most everything colds. Upper respiratory infections need just a steroid and time. I give myself a breathing treatments to help. You can order yourself a nebulizer. Also I have URI again and I'm jabbed. Use a throat spray a few times a day. Helps with the scratchy throat. Spray three times back of throat.
Hope you feel better now. I’ve got some kind of URI and it sucks. Phlegm, coughing, gagging…all of it I have a job and if I’m gonna keep it I need to be there. Hopefully in 2 days I feel better cuz I gotta go back!
