Upping the speed on FX Impact

I found a very inexpensive part that ups the speed of my FX Impact Mk I with as much as 40fps, no adjustments to the regulator or any other settings required. Couldn't believe that something so small can make such a big difference. This video is not my normal accuracy test, but rather looking at increasing speed without adjusting regulator pressure, thus more speed with same shot count. I just love it.

I recently did this to mine, TP with matched probe same manufacturer. You are right about the "easy" install, it is the torch required disassembly that got me. Initially i wasn't impressed with my results , but i found that the valve adjuster became exponentially more sensitive. Good luck.

As the various comments indicate as well as your answers to them, this enlarged transferport is designed to work with an quality enlarged pellet probe. Initially, I also only had the larger transferport, which I had installed professionally. Results on higher power settings were meager ... The real increase in speed only came when I received and installed the matching pellet probe as well.

Did you add the pellet probe too? I’m shooting 25 grain H&N 218s @ 960 fps. I can squeeze a bit more but this velocity suits the slugs 😉. I also have the 57mm hammer spring installed. I need to do a bit more fiddling about, but she’s accurate. I’ve had crows out to 179 yards 😉

What reg and other settings are you running to get 960 please . 600 or 700 barrel ?

Chris Thomas my .22 mk2 impact power plenum reg pressure is 140 bar and it’s a 600mm slug liner A. Hammer spring is nearly maxed out, a few turns back 😉.

Whilst this video is from 2020, FX have incorporated this twin valve in most models (its certainly in my 2022 FAC .25 Maverick VP),The hole is intended for pellets & the twin port for slugs

Yes but you need the heavy hammer spring and valve adjustment, the dual port and pin is not enough

An Ernest Rowe TP will get you more FPS at Max Power setting.

Stedy One with the bigger transfer port and matching pellet probe you can work with lower reg pressure and still get a great result.

I don’t see it mentioned anywhere in your video. Without the pellet probe you’re really not getting the full effect.

Airgun USA absolutely correct. That’s why I got the matching probe otherwise you can’t get the right amount of air to flow.

I just rotated my new m3 700mm to the slug port side and my point of impact was 16 inches high and 6 inches to the right at 50 meters. I had to raise my no limit scope rings up 3/32" to even get it back on paper. Is my liner jacked up or is this normal or do I need to contact fx airguns???

Sounds like a bent liner to me, the moment you rotate the liner their should be minimal POI shift.

It definitely needs the matching pellet probe otherwise there’s absolutely no point....... it’s all well to allow more air into the barrel/liner but without the matching pellet probe you’ll have a bottle neck effect. More air can’t get through a small hole quick enough 😞. I’m guessing you’ll do a follow up video when your probe comes 🤔

anto markič I think that’ll be a waste of time unless you’re intending to shoot really heavy slugs, but I could be wrong. My dual transfer port and matching probe are good enough for me 😉
