Danielson is a selfless wrestler. He didn't want the focus on himself because he already won the title in a very big event. This was the perfect way to go out and I think this was his own idea. He put over the existing talent rather than focusing on a retiring wrestler

Being in that audience during the main event finish was like being at a funeral. You could hear the folks in the ring around Danielson, you could feel every breath caught in every throat. It really was incredible to be a part of. Thank you Brian!

Loved the first half of the show, kind of dragged in the second half, LOVED the closing angle. I get why people will be upset, but not every story can be wrapped up neatly with a happy ending at the conclusion. I don't think most tribalists in 2024 could even handle any of the angles you saw with the Freebirds/Von Erichs or the Horsemen, which ran parallel to something like this. People wanted AEW to 'tell stories' and the moment they set up several, it's still hate. I for one, am looking forward to seeing how the young guys are pushed where you know ultimately, Darby has to take out Mox. And they can take their time in the journey to get there.

I took my 9 year old to the show and she made it beyond clear that Ospray, and Ricochet did not dive. They did round off back handsprings over the top rope. Other than that she went berserk for the entire show and left completely heart broken that her two super heroes, Darby and Danielson, were left battered during the main event. What a wonderful experience for her to have and I can’t wait for another chance to take her to another show.

Love watching ups and downs, but people complaining about AEW being too long. Every PPV is 4 hours. I have them all. There's little advertising and the focus is on the matches. 4 hours is the stereotypical length for PPVs for decades. WWE was the same until they cut everything down to 5-6 matches, 90 minutes of advertising and 3 hour shows.

The ads for wwe are annoying but not letting angles or matched breathe for even 30 seconds after they happen is also annoying. Aew doesn't need ads but it's literally bell rings to end a match and withing 2 minutes the next match starts

This was such a great show. I went into it thinking Danielson would win, blah blah, but what they did has me very compelled. I can't wait to see Dynamite to see what's going to happen now. That's what ppv's should do!

I was there live too. Came all the way from Shelton, WA. Worth the trip from and worth the trip home today. I honestly was very surprised, also willing to admit I'm wrong in thinking Washington isn't a pro wrestling state like the others, absolutely we are. Between last year's WrestleDream, smackdown this year, and now last night, definitely proved me wrong.

I am sure MVP, Bobby Lashley and Shelton will put their heads together and come up with a spectacular story line that will change AEW forever. AEW going through ebbs and flows at the moment. PPV's always come in clutch. Need to carry over the momentum though. Shelton v Swerve on a national stage going to be as good if not better than Ospreay and Ricochet.

I just question why Bryce went for the bell when Bryans hands were actively grabbing Mox's arm. Kinda ruined the finish for me, i wanted to feel sad, but i just felt confused. At bare minimum lift the arm and let it drop. (Should be three drops like MJF, it's a retirement match, make it feel final.)

Watching the event from home, you could just...HEAR...the air exit the arena when the ref called for the bell. Which made what came after even worse. In hindsight, I'm half surprised folks didn't start throwing shite into the ring.

Why the heck did Bryan have to drop the title to Mox? Mox has already won it like a gazillion times already at this point. Bryan should've lost the gold to somebody who either has never been champ or hasn't won it many times.

1. Danielson picked Mox to end him. 2. The story of evil Mox is just beginning. 3. Sets up AEW storylines for the future. 4. When Mox is defeated for the belt, it'll probably go to someone who's never been champ and will mean more when they win it.
