@@MrGene1976 My understanding is that most union carriers love overtime, don’t have to make contributions to pension or health and welfare on overtime so they actually save money
So I've see 3 different stories in 3 different sates about UPS laying off people. This brings the total to somewhere around 700 people UPS has laid off.
A lot of them will probably lose their pension as well. That plus the big Union wage Job. And what's worse is that almost nobody is going to hire them to drive for them. No non Union company will hire a laid off former Union boy. A lot of yellow drivers have experienced this problem since the company folded. LOL
I came from Yellow just to find out that UPS is laying off people too 🤣🤣🤣 the weird thing is that they announced that only non-union workers are being layed off, but all these news proof the opposite....
@@trooperstallion I own UPS stock. The federal government has the ultimate say in layoffs, by instituting policies that expand or contract economic growth. Brings up an interesting point about presidential priorities. As a supposed friend of the unions and working class people potato Joe did nothing to help to save 22,000 union jobs at Yellow when he had the chance. Yes, I know Yellow was a publicly traded company just like UPS and was run by a group of corporate criminals . Potato Joe has created one of the worst economies I’ve seen since one of the worst presidents in US history, Jimmy Carter. Hence the need for layoffs at UPS. Simple equation, lousy economy, lousy profits, cut costs, lay off people. How many layoffs were there at UPS during the previous 4 years? Say what you want about Trump but he at least did something while president to keep Yellow afloat. Potato Joe sat by and did nothing and 22,000 union jobs gone. To borrow a phrase from the potato in chief… come on man!
@@trooperstallionNot directly, but indirectly. Who creates economic policy that either stimulates or contracts the economy? How many layoffs were posted at UPS in the previous 4 plus years? I own UPS stock. Come on man!
