It’s such a blessing to be born and raised in Hawaii. The aloha spirit is strong... since moving to the mainland, it’s rare to come across that here. Doing my best to try and spread that here :-/ but yeah, them plates look BOMB. Next trip home we got that on the list. Congrats on 10k!!! 🤙🏼

Ok I found it lol. I shouldve known you guys reviewed this place. I used to go Home Bar so much the drinks came out as soon as I arrived lol. Sunday funday was unbeatable. I really miss that place. So grateful B Dog, Big Jon and Neil opened Hamadas. Great video, making me hungry as usual.

Literally just got home from having lunch from Hamada General store (also ate at Kakaako 🤗). Thanks for the recommendation. We’ve been in a rut going to the same places to eat and my husband and I happened to find your channel and have been making a list of all the new places to try. I have to go there on the next trip, thank you! Rib eye and prime rib is the same part of the cow. Prime rib is roasted and sliced, rib eye is when you cut it into a steak and grill it. Either way it’s delicious! I gotta go grill one up now.

Yooooo Hamada General I gotta try that place! I’m a photog for a marketing agency and our office is right around the corner on Halekauwila. Went to pick up products to shoot and saw the loco moco and I was like “WTH is that I need it!” And they told me it was from Hamada General! Didn’t know those were the same owners from original Home bar from 8 or so years ago definitely gotta check it out. OG Home Bar food was mento! 👏🏾🙌🏾 Edit: posted the comment before I could remember what the specific dish we would order at Home Bar and then Amanda says “tater tot nachos thumbs up”! And I was like yes that’s exactly what it was! 🤣👏🏾

Is the store in any way related to Hamada's Okazuya in Waipahu back in the day? That was our go to okazuya until they shut down. It was run by a group of obaachans, so unless these guys are their grandsons, maybe not.

Believe it or not, The Alley at Aiea Bowl also has awesome blueberry scones. But, you either have to go early in the morning or order ahead. (Also 5-7 layer cakes, blondie brownies, pumpkin crunch...)

Went to get a loko moko and asked the guy about getting it with ribeye. He just looked at me like I was a alien from Star Trek for a couple seconds, then we had the following conversation: Him: "Ain't gonna happen, Cap'n." Me: "For realz, brah?" Him: "Yeah, braddah, for realz." Habut.

@@AmandaFelixEats My bad! I didn't have my loko moko experience at Hamada's. It was at another place. Guess I should have gone to Hamada's, but I was too hungry to make wise choices.😉

@@AmandaFelixEats The name of the place is C & H Hawaiian Grill Express. It's a small Hawaiian restaurant out here, where I live, in Central Texas. I just started going there recently, and, yes, they got da ono kine grindz! I haven't tried everything on their menu (yet) but their loko moko is pretty righteous. It probably doesn't compare to what you guys can get on the islands, but the prices are good, the portions are generous and their food always tastes great. Your videos are what made me want to give Hawaiian grindz a try. Thanks! I just wish we had more Hawaiian/Polynesian restaurants in my area. Pacific Islander cuisine doesn't get enough representation around here, IMO.

So how the pulehu there?? I’m the dude that said the pulehu at papa ole wasn’t that great... maybe you shud try it cz I came to the conclusions I maybe just don’t care for pulehu cz I tried it at Kau Kau grill and didn’t care for that either..... but I gotta tell ya that Hamada place looks ono think only place I never try yet that you guys went to

If you didn't like the kau kau grill ones I don't think you'll like Hamada's one (trying to be real here💯) They tasted pretty similar! Would definitely go back for the ribeye loco moco tho👌🏼
