Michael provides us with a few tips and tricks for this procedure which will hopefully make your joint replacement process a smooth one. What is the typical failure mode for these joints? I understand they are un-reliable. What could be monitored to possibly predict their failure?

What is the spiral metal (with three bolts) at 1.05 what exist in every join? Is it a safety torque sensor?

These joints are very hard to replace. We tried replacing shoulder joint and it took like 4hrs. I wish UR made these joints maintenance friendly.

Can you confirm that UR5 has installed KBM motors? And in particular, do you know which type?

What brand of open-end torque wrench are you using? I'm struggling to find one online within the torque spec.
