My family went to Alaska to see glaciers and wildlife! It wasn't a fishing trip, but I did manage to get in a little fishing. So join me on my Alaskan vacation... well, thru the power of video!

Thanks for including us in your family adventures! You never dissapoint even though you my not have gotten the fish you were after but all the beautiful county and wildlife definitely make it worth the trip!
What's the next adventure? I've been hearing about recent fish tales regarding an influx of salmon around West Port and was wondering if it's worth the drive. @@WAFishQuest
Thank you! Indeed on the glaciers. Something cool I learned on the cruise is two (of the 26) are still growing for some reason. They just have perfect conditions. So although not much, that was a smidge of good news!
I was up there in Aug to hit some red fish on the Kasilof and the Russian. I had a brown bear run at me and a young moose charges us on the KGB hwy. AK never disappoints. 🤙🏽
I can't get this image out of my head. Your plane is starting to taxi down the runway and the flight attendant is yelling, "OK that's it! Reel that line in and close the window NOW!" Looks like a fun family getaway and you didn't get skunked.
@@WAFishQuest Also just letting you know that a certain river next to a certain brewery is full of fish right now. Stopped in your hometown on my way back to Seattle and thought it was pretty cool.
To your point John, total bucket list trip! I e been to Alaska three times now (twice to fish and this family trip). And it's always given me even more than I asked for!

@@WAFishQuest That's too bad 😂 Did you know that a fishing rod counts as a personal item? You can take a regular rod on the plane as carry on so long as it's not too long. I usually take a couple 9' 2 piece rods with no issues. Just throw the reel in your luggage though.
