Dude came up under Lee Morrison's Urban Combatives. Both have extensive training, multiple styles, broken down to simple things that work, not complex shit. Ive been in 10:56 martial arts for almost twelve years now and you learn what works and what doesnt. I love the UC stuff. Simple, and brutal. In a street fight it isnt about who the better competitor is, its who walks away. People looking for street defense need simplistic and effective.
As a Combatives instructor, the part about the average person not wanting to be a combat athlete is dead on. Instinctive, gross motor movements are what the average person needs to learn. Nice video!
So DJ I am really glad you broke down this video. Krav Maga gets attacked all the time just as this guy is doing yet he is using Krav Maga to defend this attack. I am also really glad you addressed instinctual movement ( when the lady was attacked) and natural reactions. He seems like a good instructor but he was doing what we teach. Great reaction video!
Another interesting video - I do not complete agree with the headbutts. This frankenstein choke with a headbutt is a very emotional action if someone loses it and goes for it. That is the also the reason why you do not see neighter the attack nor the defense in MMA (UFC). The name of the instuctor is Michiel Mulder.

With all these RU-vidrs attacking "Krav Maga," I'm wondering if part of the problem is, Krav Maga just got too popular. This happened a few years ago with merlot wine. Merlot got trendy, then suddenly every wine producer was producing merlot, and a lot of it was just crap. So then the serious wine connoisseurs decided that *all* merlot was crap.
