These tunnels are remnants from Soviet Occupation in Estonia. When the Soviet Union collapsed and Russians left, many of these bunkers and military bases were left behind.
It was abandoned sometime between 1992-1994.

At that point i was very cautious of any ad every corner i came across. I think it was water dripping on the first floor after a day or two of rainfall. It freaked me the hell out too when i went there after a week of rainfall, but as i went back later in 2009 i realised what it really was, i learned to recognise the sound, it was simply watter dripping down and echoing through the corridors on the first floor. On the second floor, tou would hear nothing of the kind. I know because i got that far once, but then i heard something very distinct from the second floor like a sneaking footstep and i bolted out of there. Didnt return untill i filmed the footage presented in this video. Better quality video on my channel, because it`s the original footage in 1080p

Just a quick tip, UrbanDestination, see if you can go with a friend next time since if something happens (e.g ceiling falls in etc) you can have them call an ambulance or such and get a better torch, you will need it.

SamuraiPie8111 A Mouse?! Mice dont scare me at all. I used to be scared of spiders, when i was a teenager. Just before faling asleep i used to see big spiders at various places in my room. As i got over thast fear, it turned in to big snakes and then creepy people, sometimes with masks. I remember one time. I was trying to find a comfortable position to sleep so i turned around in my bed, and i saw a swamp-soaked man in a coat lean close to me with a creepy dead looking smile on hes face. Then he retreated in to the shadows. I am still wondering, if it was just my imagination, or i saw a ghost. Hes eyes seemed to tell a story of how he had died. That experience felt so real, and i was wide awake a long time after that.

Entering and exploring these dark and erie places appears to be very scary. While deep inside this bunker I personally would be terrified that I would encounter wild animals or worst, a crazy or criminal person using the location as refuge. It takes guts to go into places like this bunker.
@UrbanDestination
@UrbanDestination 10 лет назад
You are damn right it takes guts. And as a matter of fact i did encounter a fox hiding in there one time. The next time i went there, the fox was dead in the corridor in the entrace. Did you notice the red handprints a bit in to the bunker. Those scared me to death the first time i saw them there. It was winter then so there was a lot of water dripping down from the ceiling then. Made it look like it was really blood, but ofcourse it was just paint under closer examination. All the creepy images on the walls are a new thing though. It seems it just gets scarier every year down there. By the way, if you want to see the full, uncut footage in better quality, it is there on my channel.

@UrbanDestination
@UrbanDestination 9 лет назад
Dinn´t seem like that to me when i was down there. I have seen way more moldy tunnels making me want to wear a respirator. I think i should get a respirator and go back in there for some cool footage. Me and a very loyal friend went to these really old tunnels, way older than these depicted in the video. We saw a lot of mold, until we got to the pile of trash, that was supposed to keep us from trespassing. It did keep us from trespassing, only because we would have had to snake through the narrow opening provided. + The mold was really bad at that point. I should get a respirator and a spare set of clothes just to get that on tape.

I've been wanting to shoot some video here in Texas. I tried exploring a few places when I lived in Baltimore (REALLY freaky buildings there, most of which are abandoned) but the violence and drug problem were a bit too much and I got stopped several times by the authorities. It's funny that they were concerned for my safety rather than the fact that I was trespassing. WARNING HEEDED. Anyway, there are some places out here that are just as interesting and I wanted to keep someone close by as a "lookout" just in case. I admire your courage to go it alone. I sometimes think I fear what's in my head more than what's really out there. Thanks for answering.

Well, i had this HUGE sea academy in sights. Abandoned because of abuse of funds by the management. But some assholes threw chairs and stuff out the windows and they locked it all up. It is under security now. I have to wonder though, is it just the first floor or all of them. I could use a grapple to get to the second floor to find out, but it is risky. I have currently set my sights on an abandoned mental asylum. It is one of many buildings. All of these buildings served a purpose for different disorders. Some of it is abandoned, but many of the buildings are still in use. I have 2 of these abandoned buldings in my sights right now, but there are more i am not sure about yet. The thing is, they made it extremely difficult to get in to buildings i assume are under no security whatsoever. They are just sealed up really well. Getting in is going to be a challenge. I made some scouting trips and attempted to get in at night. I had to sneak through moonlit dark forests with no flashlight so as not to alert one of the operating sections close by. I soon learned that i had tools o get past the first layer of heavy boarding, if i made some noise. What freaked me out was someone sitting on a chair outside the fifth section. That is where they take all the new patients, untill they can figure out where they belong. I was in there once for depression and some anxiety i am still dealing with. Guards are in there day and night. Some of them probably take smoke breaks outside. I loosened one of the hell a heavy duty boards far enough to see that there are more heavy duty wooden boards in the way. That is going to take some serious time to get through. If i succseed, and dont get captured, i will be first person in there in 3 years or more. Got some better tools that should help a lot. Will go back tomorrow after my appointment to do some work on this thing. This place feels like a prison to break in to. Guards are close if you make too much noise and cops are ecually close if you fuck this up.

@TheUnknownCameraman 10 лет назад
They are remnants from Soviet Occupation in Estonia. When the Soviet Union collapsed and Russians left, many of these bunkers and military bases were left behind. There used to be a military school in that area back then, I think these bunkers were a part of that. They are very close to where the Soviet military school should have been. There was also a navy control center there and some radars, but the radars have been destroyed. The best information I can gather is that it was very likely a bunker for the owners of a nearby mansion, which has seen many fires since then. It was abandoned sometime between 1992-1994.

zenie250 Yeah, he was alive. I used to visit a lot back in the day in winter. Just for the scare. So i had my brother with me one time. We go in a ways. Suddenly i see something move behind the corner. It was very fast, didnt know what it was. My brother was freaking out, saying: "Lets go, we have to get out of here!" But i was curious. At first i thought it was a cat or something. So we go further in. The fox was running away every time we got close to its hiding place. Eventually we just left. Next time i go in from the central entrance like usually. I get to where someone had used red paint on the wall to paint those handprints on the wall. Its kind of faded now, but the first time i saw it it scared the heck out of me. The fox was there on the ground, dead. I moved it a bit with a stick and it looked like its neck had been snapped!

Was he exploring this the first time ever? Or has this guy been here before? I'd check it out before filming, honestly. As far as being in the place... I got the distinct feeling he was tip-toeing like a cartoon character. -- was that for dramatic effect? I noticed a LOT of fire damage. Is the tip-toe effect out of caution, instead? The look of the place seems that no ones been that deep in a LONG time. A quick observation of the surroundings would indicate people dont go that far. Honestly, I hadn't been so 'spooked' about exploring a place since the mid 90's when I was 14. This could've been better, but I understand the need for caution. He shouldve gone back after casing the suroundings to note foot-traffic and possible hazards.

HerrHIVEMIND That is an interesting thought. Seems like there has been a big fire in there, but i cant seem to dig any solid evidence of it out of the internet. I do know for a fact however, that every time i have gone in there, i have seen wood dragged in there, as if to make fire. At that point - in 2009 i think it was - i stopped going there. But recently i got a new camera, and i wanted to see how well it captured dark scenes like this, so i went for one last time in there to get this footage. Well, i allways think it will be my last time, but somehow i end up going back in there sooner or later.

This has some of the most troubling images i've ever seen in one of your videos. YOU REALLY NEED TO TAKE BETTER CARE OF YOUR SECURITY, PERSONAL SAFETY AND NOT CONTAMINATE THE SCENE!!!!! The bad part is: people go there with live ammunition. The good part is: they are TERRIBLE shots!!!! Many might call you crazy or stupid for doing what you do. While i do see the inherent risk in any such exploration/documentation, really support what you do and am a huge fan. But you can never, NEVER pick up ANYTHING like a shell casing like that!!!!! ESPECIALLY with your bare hands!!!!! One obvious reason is you left 2 of your finger prints at the scene that could be used to learn your identity. But a bit less likely is that cartridge could literally have been evidence at another crime scene and hidden from authorities there. You don't want any trace of you or connection to a piece of evidence that may have been involved in a crime such as armed robbery, attempted murder, etc. i love the stuff you preserve with your camera for all posterity, before it is claimed by a wrecking ball, or time itself. But i ABSOLUTELY IMPLORE YOU to take more stringent measures and observe strict protocols for your (and your team's) safety. Everything from self defense measures, to rigging and safety harnesses, night vision and thermal imaging devices for checking if you're alone in a given area. First aid supplies and emergency lighting are a must!!!! KEEP BOLDLY GOING!

It is located near the pirita river. If you follow the river from the sea and keep your eyes open, you should see a yellow building, 2 floors high with an attic on top. The tunnels are behind the building.

There was some construction going on around the area back then in 2013 when i filmed this. Recent events make me concerned though regarding Russia.

If you dare, go in there. Its close to the Pirita river in tallinn. If you follow close to yje river from the sea and keep your eyes open, you should see an empty yellow building. The tunnels are behind the building.

@UrbanDestination
@UrbanDestination 9 лет назад
You know where Pirita river is right. If you dont, just google it or use google maps and search for it. There is this bridge crossing the river close to where the river meets the sea. When you are at the bridge and have your back to the sea, you have to take the path to the right of the bridge. Then you just follow the path, always keeping the river to your left. You should see an abandoned building to your right, 3 stories high. The tunnels are very close behind that yellow building. Hope that helps, if not i can go out and make a video to show you exactly how to get there.

Gustave Frankfurter Well, most of the graffiti. LOL
@UrbanDestination

Gustave Frankfurter Because most everyone in Estonia understand English. English sound much better than our own language anyway. Personally i prefere to speak in English and only use Estonian when i have to.

***** We are Estonian and we speak Estonian. We are not Russians. There are a lot of Russians living here too. So yeah, there is a lot of Russian speaking people here too. Many Russian familys decided to stay here after the Soviet occupation ended, or couldnt afford to move to Russia, or didnt want to move.
