I did say last time I saw you that we had some big news. The title’s’ kind of a giveaway but that doesn’t make me any less excited to tell you that today we are proud to announce the launch of Royal Enfield Chelsea at Urban Rider.
Hopefully you follow us because for 15 years we’ve been passionate about motorcycling and bringing you the best gear the motorcycling world has to offer through our own video, photo and retail both online and in store.
The Covid shutdown of our London store gave us a chance to rethink how we wanted the future to look and we put the downtime to good use, expanding the value and fully renovating the space. We wanted to create a real ‘destination venue’ for our customers. We partnered up with Max Vanoni, of Vanoni Moto Officina workshop; a true master of his craft and the safest pair of hands you could wish for, whether coming for a routine service or a full on custom build for your motorcycle.
We expanded into hard parts, meaning we had something for almost all your motorcycling needs.
Almost.
The final piece of the puzzle was being able to offer the bikes themselves. We wanted to align ourselves with a brand whose values reflect our own. Quality, style and value for money.
Royal Enfield’s recent resurgence in the UK has been massively impressive and we know there is way more yet to come. We are thrilled to offer the full range of Royal Enfield bikes with test rides easily available to book through our website.
Needless to say we’ve got you covered with anything you might want to compliment your bike purchase; from customisable parts, luggage and accessories through to an extensive head to toe selection of the world’s best riding gear. We have competitive finance packages on offer and you can find some indicative examples on the new Royal Enfield section of our website.
To accompany the launch we are opening our new parts lounge. A quiet place to relax and talk through your plans away from the hustle and bustle of the New Kings Road.
We’ll be launching regular meet ups and ride outs from the store, as well as joint ventures with training schools to provide both on road and off road experiences, licenses and tests of our bikes, not to mention some great coffee. We want to show off off our new venue to those of you near enough to visit, so come along and say hi; Urban Rider just became your one stop shop.

Yes, there are generally two styles for rider gear in the US: the flashy sport bike rider, and the Harley Davidson rider. Urban Rider goes their own way for styles that are classic, cool, understated, retro, and inconspicuous. And hard-to-find over here!

COOL!, we have some guy here who has got his head together. Had a vision and is catering to what People want. Can't really fault it. Having sourced out that skilled mechanic chap to modify, style and fit the stuff that this Urban Rider display for inspection & possible purchase. In this instance picking the right Motorcycle outfit and its ever growing range to fulfil more fully what People want. Just what is he doing wrong?. Well basically nothing much really. Virtually got it SPOT ON. We see in that video the Royal Enfield 350 Meteor fits well in ones living environment so maybe a tailor made oblong shaped 'base', preferably that can in places handle the weight and be readily wipes down is produced and commercially made available. With of cause some length of durable carpet from the living room door to where the Motorcycle would stand. I suggest coloured RED!. Give it the red carpet treatment, then one can glance over to the bike at almost any time, clean it up, even sit on it, watching some TV, on a tablet or when receiving a phone call or such. As long as the abode is at ground level and the doors are wide enough, just why not? I mean, usually a 'friend' I would say is someone who WANTS to come around to see you. For a chat, have a drink or have a meal or something. Well isn't your Motorcycle your 'friend'? Isn't it a part of your life?, not some play-thing to pick up and fiddle around with when it suits. Your Motorcycle provides companionship, transport and a nice bit of INDEPENDANCE. At any moment you can get on it, whip off up the Supermarket, go to the Cinema or even traverse the whole of the country, stopping off for refreshment, fuel & rest when needed. Then with your Motorcycle in the living room, should this be practical, when your friends do come around, even the non biker types, see if they ask to sit on it and then watch their reaction. They'll be like a little kid on their old mans bike in the garage when he was not around, of yesteryear. They'll love it. Being asked to 'take care' when getting off & on of cause. So all in all, I can't really see how this Urban Rider outfit is going wrong, it would be all priced as it is, reflecting its location and all the, what looks like some decent quality clobber at those prices. People given a choice of these items, far better than nothing at all. Plus on top of all that, as it looks, a capable experienced guy in the workshop, who would likely not come cheap, and why should he be!. There would likely be the standard VFM, let us never forget the VFM of the initial purchase of the Royal Enfield motorcycle so even the common Joe in the area is catered for in that respect. What can they grumble about. Great then, of cause were I to get my hands on even a decent sized Lotto win, not to mention a nice Euro lottery win. The existing Motorcycle Industry the World over would soon have something to very much WORRY about. As the British MC Industry did with the coming of the Honda CB750KO in 1969, almost game over then, but not quite, we'll be back... JAPAN!!! We 'will' with me with plenty of support. I would not stop in making sure my brand was the number 1 top total sales of above 200cc Motorcycles in the UK. With an objective in having over all of any brand more Motorcycles in use at any one time in the UK... than CARS. As I imagine at many times in our history this was actually the case. Less cars in use, less congestion, less fuel used, cheaper transport and less pollution. Plus other benefits as well. With of cause INDIVIDUALS running such outlets as Urban Rider currently is and other selected outfits, and of cause HMG and local Authorities doing their bit. A HECK of a lot of opposition would be incurred to prevent this from coming about, vested interests and all that, this I would anticipate for. But I would sort them out. The lot of them, unless 'Authorities' tried to put the kibosh on it all. Then of cause they would have to be sorted out along the way. As they do need to be anyway, asap. For all our sakes. Yea, the World over. Hyper performance would not be catered for, straight off the bat. Nor sadly preferably for many of the under 21's. Lest not forget, Motorcycles on our roads are DANGEROUS machines, even in the best of hands. The more experienced &/or a bit more mature rider is what I would endeavour to cater for. The Royal Enfield range btw is near to what I would bring out, though with a few good tweaks here and there and plenty of further innovation, with of cause practicality & style. And the VFM. Always aiming for VFM wherever appropriate. Such a competitor as Royal Enfield would as we know be hard to beat on that!, I say well done to them. A marker to aim for then. Even later on producing and supplying the bare bones of a bike, engine, frame fully wired up with electrics and the odd other components to be purchased in multiples by all BUDDING Motorcycle manufacturers of any size. Just 100 or so someone could put together, with their branding & styling and see how they get on. I would dearly like to see that enfolded and be in play. JUST LIKE the old days. With many varied makes & models for People to choose from. How it was for a good 5 or 6 decades or more in Britain up until the Japanese almost finished us off, though not quite, it can still be revived. I say it needs to be. We have the talent, even now, always have, as do many other Nations. THIS is what I would go for. With a loosely based Parent Company, not necessarily 'in charge' as such, but just helping out, advising and coordinating aspects of it. OR some outfit can totally go it alone, and they do their thing. All fine by me, more Motorcycles isn't it! either way. I would never knock any Motorcycle down much at all or any MC Manufacturer that even made just a handful. "Fair play to them", I would say, "Can I go for a ride on one?", I would ask of them. It would be something in their lives that gave them long lasting satisfaction, an achievement if only 20 or so are ever produced. Or even less. Getting to grips with the rigors of manufacturing, advertising, sales & the entirety of business itself, an experience of any level of success they can utilise later on in other enterprises they create & encounter. It would be great fun. Ok then, time for a bit of exercise and a nice long walk, I hope. In the rain somewhat, but, after all... it's Britain isn't it!! Good luck then Urban Rider and also best wishes to fellow Motorcyclists, the World over.

Please open a store in Bristol, you would welcomed with open arms. We're a vibrant city situated on the M4 / M5 interchange with a deverse range of riding opporunities on the doorstep in south wales and the south west. We're currently poorly served by large dealers that seem to only be interested in pushing new bike purchases. I'm sure you've sent a few orders to Bristol and surrounding areas already and I think the market is still waiting to be fully untapped as touching / feeling the product and getting the right fit is likely holding a lot of people back from ording online. Congratulations on the shop and hope to see you in Bristol soon! Maybe test the water with a pop-up shop next summer?

how can anyone trust 'your' brand anymore now you're selling out to Royal Enfield, any series biker knows they're Indian junk. You just took your branding down to zero after all those years of building it
