As an aspiring indie game developer from India who has dreamed of making big awsome games and publish them to the world with the "developed in India" mark in them since childhood, I am getting more worried by the day that with the current government being the way they are, I would never be able to represent India in the AAA gaming market internationally. It frankly scares me to think that my life's biggest goals might just remain unacheivable just because of the uneducated and insensitive decision which are being made by the government that we voluntarily elected. Everytime I see Modi talking to students and mocking people who play PUBG, I feel a bit of my Indian Patriotism die cause why should I respect and care for a country that doesn't respect and care for what I love so much. I have grown up playing GTA, IGI, AC, FarCry,GoW and what not and they have always fascinated me, Games make me happy and I wanna share that happiness to the world with the games I eventually make, I truely hope the Indian government starts understand the mindset of people like us before it's too late.
The main problem is that the people who are making the regulations are in the age of 60 plus who still thinks that games are for a children and there is no carrer in it

I used to think like you as well, but from last 5 years I did realize there is good career in this field. However I do agree with your point, as gaming is not everyone's cup of tea. Out of 100 gamers in our country, only 7 to 10 are worthy with their gaming skills. Rest of them are just into making a hype, while they would end up nowhere in the gameing.
