De La Cruz is amazing, he's also a strategist inside the field, maybe not as much as Bentacour.

Darwin is an enigma, I still think he can build on last night’s performance.

We have a (grateful) problem in midfield, especially when choosing between De la Cruz and Bentancur. I think the choice depends on the opponent. My choice for a general ideal 11 would be Bentancur, but it's close. Núñez has scored 9 goals and 3 assists in his 8 games under Bielsa. He's probably the most on form striker in international football. I don't give an oomph if he misses a few good chances if he still gives those numbers, plus all the other things he provides other than goals and assists. According to Wyscout (my uncle has a license) that Panama game he should have scored .67 goals. So he overperformed. The only reason people don't get off his a** is because the entire uruguayan press keeps putting him down and saying Suarez should go in even though he can't run for 10 minutes straight. Because it sells of course, not because it's true.

Nico de la Cruz is a more complete player in this team than Dearrascaeta, Fede needs to rest in the next game against Bolivia and let Bentancur be in his position to fit in and play. The real game in this group is against the USA, it will be a very fun game. Greetings from Uruguay

URU here. Yes De La Cruz must start in the midfield, along with Valverde and Ugarte

Definitely De la Cruz should be a starter alongside Bentancour and Valverde in the middle. He gives Uruguay more ball movement and poise and on the other hand De Arrascaeta is more of slow pace playmaker midfielder with goal.

The Panamean goalkeeper was put to work, but he performed admirably!

USA had a public training session. Uruguay thought it was another training session. At some point in the second half it was not. In the end the quality players made the difference, I agree DLC should be a starter.

Fun fact: De Arrascaeta plays in the brasileirao (Brazil league) not MLS

It depends on the match, de la Cruz is great for the style of Bielsa, and he always delivers, but Bentancur is a really intelligent player and a better option for a les physical and more tactical match. De Arrascaeta dominates in Brazil and was key in the only match he played in the world cup.
