There are so many reasons why UY was a killer in its time, but the fact that Kitty Films was part of a record company and had access to some major musical talent certainly helped.

I remember playing this when I was with my father in memory of his mother back in Malaysia during late November 2023 and December of the same year. Today, it still tingles to my ears for good emotional reasons. Sorrowful, yet sentimentally joyful in astonishment.

This is up there with Tartarus from Tenchi in Love 2 as the best anime movie music of all time. Oh and of course *that* song from Adolescense of Utena.
