I've said this a few times as well, I can listen to it and learn the cards so much better hearing when everything is played. Best skill LVD has besides remaining crazy calm all the time when I would tilt.
In match 2 you mentioned that you should have used Ugin on The Great Henge instead of Abomination but Tamiyo's Safekeeping gives any permanent Hexproof and Indestructible. The choice didn't matter there. Another great vid! I love Historic Brawl and love every time you put a new one out.
@@MemeLord-ee9zw Mishra never pays for the Cleave cost, because he never pays for anything, he takes what he wants. Which is why he really hopes Urza’s being cast from the Command Zone.
Very nice one and despite looking like a deck filled with big clunky cards it is quite fast. That Oswald in one of the matches makes me think that with all these new artifacts in the last set maybe there is enough material to revisit the Oswald deck you made not so long ago. Thanks for the high quality of decks + gameplay you gift us with on an almost daily basis !
while that sounds nice in theory, i think it's probably better to copy something that further impacts the board or draws cards - especially considering that the copy being a creature means it wouldn't tap for mana right away without a haste-enabler
Maybe you can accomplish the dream I haven't been able to pull off: Historic Brawl Tocasia, Dig Site Mentor, where the goal is to make a bunch of tokens to surveil through your whole deck to win with Thoracle
Did you consider Wash Away? I've seen you use this in most your blue brawl decks. Metallic Rebuke is certainly better if you only have room for just the one counterspell though.
Can you revisit Teysa Karlov historic brawl, the deck has decayed but i wanna see what crazyness it can unleash with the new articafts that just came out
I'd like to build a commander deck of Urza, Prince of Kroog, focusing in his +2/+2 hability, buffing my artifact creatures and going to a aggro strategy. Do you guys think that worth?
some cards to also consider,; Karn's Sylex. its a handy reset bonus when the opponent is outscaling you. Urza's Sylex. also handy Karn Great Creator, get back sylex also get back artifacts opponent has sent to the exile but his real value is not so much as a planeswalker it has incredible value in just turning off all your opponents mana rocks. Loran, Disciple of history, you got a few legendary Creatures can recover some valueble tools, Cosmos Eixer, its buffed in HIstoric brawl to scry when your not drawing, (also fun to copy with your commander) Helm of the Host whats better than one Urza yes more Urza (bit of a jank choice but super fun when you pull it off) Annoited Possession I know not an artifact but it does support your commander by doubling his value Liquimetal Coating. combos with Karn, Great Creator and Annoited possession (in regards to your commander) Reidane, God of the worthy. actually for the backside Valmira cause that annoy your opponent into submission a little bit of protection. ((sadly legendary so to use with Urza would require helm of the host out.)) These are just other options to consider when putting together your own Urza, prince of Kroog deck.
Wouldn't count it as a misplay but it's worth noting that on 16:15 you could've attempted to destroy your own skyclave relic with Leveler's trigger. Missed out on free powerstone
Inspector was one of the last few cuts. Tends to die a little too easily compared to other ramp options at 3 mana. Key could be good, although we’re usually still better off with regular ramp so we can also cast Planeswalkers and Sorceries with it. Don’t always cast a ton of artifacts in the same turn. At least Anvil is more high impact when played early.
I found unwinding clock to be very powerful with urza. Can really snowball your mana by untapping your rocks so you can copy your rocks to get even more mana
The rules around equipment becoming creatures are a little strange, especially with Reconfigure being a recent phenomenon. But it does seem like the equip ability won't work, so it wasn't the best target for it!
When you copied Nettlecyst, it really doesn't do anything beyond being a vanilla 3/3 artifact creature. An equipment that turns into a creature can't equip, with the major exception being the Neon Dynasty reconfigure creatures: the reconfigure mechanic exists only to get around the usual rules restriction that prevents creatures from being attached to other things, and it does so by making the relevant permanents not creatures while they're attached.
It's indeed deceiving since the Nettlecyst creature is still highlighted, making me think we can still equip it. But confirmed in the judge chat that it won't work, good to know!
This deck NEEDS Oswald Fiddlebender. When you copy a 4 mana artifact with Urza and sac the copy with Oswald you can put Paradox Engine on the battlefield. Same method for Mystic Forge and you can proceed to pop off. After the combo I could copy a hedron to get card draw. and yeah the opponent kinda gets tired of watching you do all this mess and usually concedes...(so you kinda become that annoying combo player)
