You can also make copies of Urza, use either Spark double, or Sakashima of a Thousand Faces to get a non-legendary Urza, then use either Phyrexian Metamorph, Liquimetal torque, or Ashnods Transmogrant to make a non-legendary artifact version. Clone like mad

Once u make a bunch of powerstone Shard with lightning greaves u can just make a bunch of copies of lightning greaves to attack with

B/U Artifacts being made even better? As if Dramatic scepter wasn't an easy enough infinite mana combo to pull off, this makes it easier.

This + Metalworker + Lightning Greaves or any free haste enabler = inf tokens. Potential inf mana if whatever artifact can tap for more than 6 mana. Less if you have Training Grounds. Not too bad.

Would be off budget for most but intruderce alarm will get arround the haste issue to some degree as long as one of the shards doesn't has summoning sickness because Urzas ability would untap every creature.

Since you're in blue you can use's a isochron scepter imprinted with dramatic reversal.

So if you use liquimetal torque on training grounds, have fun. Also helm of awakening. Go wide then swing in with a starlight spectacular

I legit thought of this exact card when I saw urza, that's insane! I never would've thought anyone else knew about powerstone shard

Oh god the Genesis engine is about to go hard. It's a 10/10 with this guy out and you can make copies of it to draw more and more cards to get to your artifacts and begin ramping up insanely fast. If prince Urza is constant mana ramp and Shoraki is constant card advantage I can see this being a very very fun deck to make that come turn 10-11 you are just tapping 6 power stones and drawing 12 cards to find your biggest dumbest artifacts to dome people. Also, the incidental synergy of these new more solid artifacts being able to crew your Shoraki/vehicles is very nice.

So know to have 4 Urza’s in one commander deck

Training Grounds, Anointed Procession and anything that can change them into artifacts.

This is a decent artifact commander.

Turn Anointed Procession into an artifact with Liquimetal Torque for maximum luls. Exponential 3/3 Anointed Processions.

THIS + Intruder Alarm + Akroma's Memorial (or other haste enabler) + Gilded Lotus (or any artifact mana rock/dork) = Infinite Creatures, ETB, & Mana Magus of the Unseen has some great potential in this deck as you can temporarily steal opponent's artifacts just so you can copy them.

Why was mechanized production not mentioned? Control 8 of the enchanted artifact at your upkeep you win

You can add an extravagant replication for another every turn.

Would thran dynamo be a better option to copy? After your first copy your using nothing but thran to pay for more copies.

I'm happy there's finally going to be more in-game direct canon of Urza.

I play powerstone in Orvar. It is also feasible with brudiclad

Myr Battlesphere + Ashnod's Alter/Krark-Clan Ironworks Could also do Precursor Golem, but that doesn't net without another card.

I am really hoping that you do a full deck tech with this urza. I personally like this one more than LP.

My initial thoughts was myr battlesphere and ashnods altar, and something like this.

Was excited for this (for value not infinite), until you realize the mana you spend to copy stuff can be doing multitudes more with pretty much anything else.

This reminds me of a game I played years ago when I had 15 Darksteel forge tokens then I attacked with them.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned using this on vehicles.

I'm going to say I like this idea. Personally, I plan to build around Urza, LP, hoping to get him to meld with the Stones to make Urza, Planeswalker, but since this Urza is the same color identity, it can easily go into that deck, and could even be an alternative Commander. Since I'm a goofy theme fan, I actually really like this. If you dig into the lore, Urza couldn't actually use magic, at this stage, and only through manipulating the energy in Powerstones could he pull off some of his many feats. I like how this feels like that; Urza assembled some automaton Soldier, and then literally placed a worn down Powerstone into it, giving it life. This will be really fun, and since Urza LP requires a fair bit of mana to meld, these manadorks will help with that, as well as support Planeswalker's 0 ability that makes more Artifact Soldiers, who will be 3/3, instead of 1/1, while Prince is in play. As a Commander, I still think even this Urza I'd good; his demise isn't damning, and Commanders come back. I'm sort of 50/50 on whether I wish they had broken him, and tacked on the "token copies of legendary things aren't legendary", which would make him insane, so maybe a Blue permanent that negates the Legend rule?, but the things you can copy are great, whether making manadorks, or a vanguard of Blightsteel Colossi. I still might try to add just a bit of White Soldier support, as this deck theme can make a fair number of them, but this has me rather excited, whether on its own, or under Urza, Lord Protector/Planeswalker.

How does this work with vehicles ? I imagine the creature can’t be crewed but does the creature get the vehicle stats add to the 1/1?

This goes infinite with 3 Powerstone Shards and lightning greaves. Just did the math...really fun stuff

Man you arent even thinking outside the box. Swift reconfiguration on either Padeem, consul of innovation or Leonin Abunas.. both give artifacts you control hexproof. Then now that they are a vehicle you can use Urza to turn them into a regular artifact creature and boom. They also give themselves hexproof. Now just toss in a darksteel forge and you have a hexproof+indestructible board of artifacts.

My thoughts on good targets for this ability that don't go infinite: --Wurmcoil Engine. Yes, it becomes weaker, but the tokens it creates do not. --There's got to be a creature with Reconfigure that this would get nutty with.

How does urza + power stone infinite mana? I dont get it

Do that copy twice on a halo fountain to get 2 creatures that untap each other to create 1/1 creature tokens for 1 white mana. Is it practical? Hell no, but I would be funny as hell. Edit: If there is a was to get a artic act that taps for 3 white, you could go near infinite with it (as long as you have cards on your deck)
