Yes! One of my absolute favorite roads. Been this way many a time and have always enjoyed it. I've eaten at that Denny's you passed more often than I can count and they always had the best coffee. Thanks for taking us with you on this amazing journey Mike!
287 is always a fun ride in Texas! Fun watching all the freight trains hauling to DFW. Wichita Falls proper only takes about 15 minutes to cruise through. They need a Buc-ees up there! Often see USAF jets on training missions there! Thanks!!
Just outside of that little town of Henrietta, there's this, and a quick run into Wichita Falls along US 82/287. Stay on I-44 and head for Oklahoma, just across the Red River. US 287 continues as an expressway west-northwest till it hooks up with I-40 just outside Armadillo, er, Amarillo and I-27/US 87 north of there before 87/287 split again.
