My brother was literally on the oversight division and risk management in First Republic last year. He walked away from it from insane examples of fraudulent behaviors from managers that he warned repeatedly was criminal and illegal. No surprise that collapsed!

He got out with a major pay increase getting the new job and a vacation. He really tried and my brother is an honest man but he realized they just wouldn't change.

When a gold revaluation is announced, the current dollar value will be irrelevant. Needless to say it's buying power will multiply many times more than what it is today.

@chrism5859 same here. It'll only happen once in our lifetimes. Better 20 years early than 1 ounce too late. I'm also pretty certain that crypto and BTC specifically are the distraction investment away from gold so as to keep consolidated wealth at the top. Once the time comes, crypto should trade off its 'price' power with gold. Bait and switch makes very good sense here

@edb3877 that's absolutely correct. Little by little, THEN all at once though. We had the gold standard, then the gold exchange standard, the bretton woods system and now the fiat Jamaica system. I'd say the SLOW cycle of over 140 years is set to restart very soon. Let's face it, the monetary system model is now broken. The debt levels can't accommodate higher rates, but inflation and asset prices cant be controlled anymore with lower rates. The only rational option is to restart the system by pegging a revalued unit of currency to gold, bitcoin, copper, tulips....something. I'm just betting it's gold because it's what CBanks have amassed a 25% of global supply of since becoming net buyers since 2008.

@@petrofx Bitcoin, while beeing newer and not tested over thousands of years has a couple big upsides compared to precious metals: 1. It is very easy to verify. If you can reveive it on the Blockchain or Lightning then it's real. You don't need testing equipment and there are no fakes. 2. You send it over half the world in seconds, with no transportation cost or risk. 3. You can store an unlimited amount of wealth on a piece of paer or in your head. Cheap and easy to store. Hard to steal. 4. It has a lower inflation than gold per year, there is a smaller percentage added each year. And the supply is in the end finite. 5. It can be divided into extremely small amounts easily and used for daily transactions. It easily works as national currency. 6. It cannot be forcefully confiscated by a government, especially if you store the access keys in your head. That is why many people beleave that Bitcoin will be more valuable than gold at some point, as the supply is more limited and it is much more versatile as money. I'm also in that camp and think that Bitcoin will be better for my pension in 30+ years.

Great video bald guy always appreciate the charts. I was reading where Ford motor company lost $65,000 per electric vehicle that they produced and Teslas earnings are not what everybody thought they would be. I don’t see a successful electric car company making money right now. The only thing that keeps them afloat is government incentives to build. If the electric car doesn’t work out, how much of an effect do you think that will have on the price of silver.

Would you buy more pysical silver and gold or other assets? I've already allocated about 30% of my asset to physical silver and gold. I'm thinking to buy them more.

Probably - if your currency collapses even further, atleast youll have protected your purchasing power. I'm not sure the situation though in Japan, so please look around, research how your banking environment is, collaterals, debt levels by the Government, Credit card debt held by people, delinquency rates etc

In January 2022 i had $121,000 in business and $44,000 in personal. Now $79,000 in business and $11,500 in personal. Dude im scared man! The math shows im out of business in 2.5years. It should be pretty obvious to anyone who can read the signs that there's instability in the system. More US bank failures seem inevitable. As for short term speculation, it can be kind of fun, honestly. No one should be betting a lot of money that way but it's fairly harmless if you are only playing with a little. That's not something I hear a lot of stackers say but it's true. Thank you as always!

Never go all in on the silver ETFs. You’re basically sharing ownership of the same silver ounces with at least 15 other people. Plot twist: it’s like a Ponzi scheme, but legal. Get physical or go bust.

Exactly. That is what is worrying my wife about all THIS. SHE wants to pay the mortgage off and car; except for the fact that we would have the DEED(paperwork)stating that we own it, I'm kind of like the other fellow poster, who wrote "how are they gonna ding us for non-payment?" I also scratch my head about, WHO and WITH WHAT are they gonna buy this PMs from us?? THEY'RE NOT. That's why junk silver is also a necessity to have on hand.

I don’t think we should think of it as a singular moment where everything ends or there becomes no replacement currency. History has shown how flexible humans can be with the currency they accept and the gold market has always endured.

I really appreciate your content and agree with you regarding the focused investing in gold and silver (in bullion and in the miners and other related investments). Silver and gold are "God's money" and if silver and gold was good four thousand years ago and was good 170 years ago and 90 years ago, I cannot invest in anything else due to my faith in real things. Electronic stuff (bitcoin, etc.) is at risk. I hate risk.

Sir, what do you think of vaulting companies versus physical possession of gold or silver in one's home? Do you use an off-site storage facility? Is there a limit to the value of gold or silver that you would store at home as opposed to storing it in an insured facility?

I’m controversial when it comes to this topic. I think vaulting metals is ok. Many don’t agree with me. Of course I think having some available is always good - but if you own so much that safe storage becomes impossible - vaulting is fine by me. But only with a very reputable and established company.

I feel that YOU should keep in mind, as to whether or not you will be able to have access to your vault/metals during a crisis(whatever it may be). If you live in an apartment, and don't have enough space to hide it, hopefully you will have a honest and trustworthy friend who has property 😉. Just my 2 cents.

My question for BG is this: Why did a lot of banks load up on US Treasury paper at a time of rock bottom interest rates, leaving the only path forward to be rising rates and falling bond prices? I'm not a bond guy but even I know that this is backwards and that buying bonds works best when rates are high and the Fed seems about ready to implement rate cuts. This makes me wonder just what the Fed told these bankers that they were induced into doing something VERY foolish.

All money is debt. The only way new money gets into circulation is by someone borrowing it or the government borrows money through issuing government bonds. Taxes raised helps pay towards these bonds being issued. Everything is fine, nothing to worry about. For your money to become completely worthless your government treasury would have to cease to exist.

That happing might slow the drop in silver Monday morning. I believe the Yahoo finance chart showing economic growth lower than expected with higher inflation with certain holds on interest cuts silver might be back down below $25 May5th. Gold staying strong and actually rarely competing with the dollar at $1.06 is interesting.

I keep hearing comex has 30-250x the number of paper silver to physical silver. Even google's AI says that figure is likely right. however, I can't find any concrete #s. Do you know? Imagine if they ran out of silver, and all the other 29-249x of paper silver holders want to get their silver delivery too?? 29 to 249x in price?

@@baldguymoneyofficial I like the concept because it seems to be more stable since it is actually backed by something tangible like precious metals. Kinesis also claims you can convert the crypto to physical silver and gold as well. Just dabbling with $200 in it now to see how it goes.

Yes ..and good luck trying to obtain it. I tried buying physical SILVER right after the C-ovid incident. Even though the price was at $13...NO ONE WOULD SELL IT TO ME UNDER $23.

Yes, it has on previous occasions. Last time was the 'Covid' narrative. Thing is then I could not buy pyshical at lower levels until it recovered quickly. The global economy is being brought down on purpose so just a question of time.
