The US desperately needs The Ukraine of Asia to strategically weaken China. Philippines is a nice candidate for the Ukraine, and Aussie and Japan are nice candidates for the EU of Asia. Just like what's happening now, later PH would be flattened, Aussie and Japan would suffer economic crisis, and the whole region of Asia would suffer economic setback, and US would walk out unscratched. If Chinese vessels (Coast Guard or Navy) attack Philippine vessels (Coast Guard or Navy) causing damages and physical injuries to personnel on the Philippine side, the Philippines should invoke the Joint Military Pact between the Philippines and the USA. Chinese Coast Guard vessels continue to bully Philippine vessels, because the Philippine government does not want to stop the bullying and just be contented with being the victim for years.
