US military dad returns home and surprises daughter 

Emotional footage from Fort Drum in New York shows a US military dad surprising his daughter after returning home after a seven-month deployment.
The video starts with daughter Heidi saying that she hopes her dad returns home before Thanksgiving, only to find him standing moments later at the front door.
Shock leads to tears and then a very warm embrace.
"This was my daughter's reaction when dad returned from his 4th deployment, which happened to be 7 months long," the filmer, Sierra Johnson said.
"This deployment started right before COVID started, so it was really tough dealing with that on top of dad being gone," she added.
