US Navy fast-attack submarine surfaces near Japan, China

The USS Seawolf is one of the most advanced hunter-killer submarines in the water, and there has been a rare sighting of it in Japan. On Oct. 4, the nuclear-powered submarine surfaced in the waters near Yokosuka, a city located at the mouth of Tokyo Bay -basically in China’s backyard.

You forgot to mention its current and most important duties. It is a test bed for advanced (even to US standards) equipment & systems. If you need to know if something will work against the Chinese, you figure that out by going amongst the Chinese and recording their reaction...or lack thereof.

Always appreciate these little military tidbits and updates. Our subs are definitely doing a lot better than China's subs that sink in dock, and especially better than ruzzia's ships turned into subs.

the boat should usually have a slight bow up angle, this is even when in port because satellites pass over head. its also difficult to hide propeller design because under hulls do happen but the photos are exceedingly rare if ever released to the public but they are moving away from propellers and using pumpjets because its quieter but has higher mechanical complexity.

US has d most advanced weapons in d world but weaponry alone can never decide outcome of war. Hence US has had lost miserably in Korean + Vietnam & Afghanistan Wars. Ukraine war shall be d latest episode though US doesn’t participate but almost half of Western military advisors sent into Ukraine to help hv had been killed.

The only reason US lost in vietnam and afghan wars is because the US respects human rights and follows international law. This respect is then taken advantage by the enemy when enemy combatants pretend to be and mingle with civilians. In war, you have to be brutal and indiscriminate to win, look at Japan when US bomb hiroshima and nagasaki, the US won easily. Today the US military fights but their hands are tied due to human rights laws if civilians die in war.
