The reason why SpongeBob sucks at driving is because he isn't ready for adulthood despite being a teenager with a house and a payless job. Driving is a skill later used in life and if SpongeBob succeeds in his driving test, he's one step closer into abandoning his childhood and eventually abandon his friends and the good life he had. That's why SpongeBob sucks at driving. And he does it on purpose. Also SpongeBob is the root of evil and lands Mrs. Puff in jail and puts her on town's arrest, meaning he wants to free his friends and the people of Bikini Bottom from becoming adults so they can live his childhood/teenhood with SpongeBob forever

I assume everyone knows but: For the King Neptune theory on why they looked different, I assume how both different kingdoms look compared to the movies castle made of sand, they have theory's that it more a different sea creature playing as him instead of actual Neptune considering In later seasons you notice they talk to not only the hand guy, but also the guy who narrates the story as him and sandy had a full on conversation, So It leads up to that spongebob always has just been a huge series filmed by others, so The movie Neptune looked different for the reason, as the actual Neptune would not have any need to be apart of the movie, sense as they said Bro kinda a douche in every episode he's in.
