I knew Pulistic, Adams and McKennie were good but Musah is amazing. If you build on this tournament, focus away from ‘pay to play’ and create a wider grassroots base in all communities. I think "we" /The Netherlands have learned from previous year against Czech Republic, Ussualy we used to rock the group matches and be tired or without inspiration left in the KO phase. As a neutral, I actually was cheering for you (fuck netherlands, 2010 still stings) and I do think the first minutes of the match were probably the best football the USMNT played at the tournament. The problem is that the WC, in its history, just doesn't have that much upsets. Ok, maybe in the group stages, but at KO rarely the dark horses are able to upset nations that are historically big, and I think that it got a mental aspect. A team like the netherlands just got more experience playing the WC and understanding how to quickly adapt against each opposition. I was pleasently surprised with the football both Canada and the US played and I think that with a better manager you probably are going to be able to achieve better results.
