Y'know I just got hit with how much having people introduce movies on late-night TV was such a cool thing and something that modern tv is kinda missing. I haven't had cable in years but are there any stations that do something like this anymore?
I was just thinking about how I sometimes prefer the radio with a dj who chats a bit between songs over using Spotify when I'm driving. I think it's the human element with radio. Makes you feel less alone. And then that totally made me think about how cool that would be with shows or movies. Having someone on the tv (like a dj) talk to you between acts about what's happening in the movie. Which then made me remember Elvira and Up All Night. And now I'm. here. But agreed, I think that trend needs to come back.
24fpsfan, is this from the Up All Night DVDs Rhonda used to sell on her website nearly a decade ago, or did you actually record this off of the original broadcast on USA way back when?
