@@gabrieljr5410 but 70% of UK tv is American programming lol Wdym “by always” when the entire world indulges in our media, im not even an extreme patriot or anything but what are you trying to say 😂
@@j2bigd590 ive never said the UK is talentless. All im saying is the US runs the entertainment world. All the biggest movies, characters, etc are American, it doesnt matter where you live the US just has icons that are known in every country, other countries have some too like Japan’s Pikachu or Britain’s James Bond but the amount of recognizable characters, superheroes, what have you is just larger here. And i dont think thats a debateable opinion lol
@@gabrieljr5410 how is the country itself boring? America is probably the only country in the world where every single state is treated like an entirely different world not just certain points of interest scattered around the map
I recently read that it's prohibited to say "this bill is unconstitutional" in Congress. They're only allowed to say, "This is a flawed bill." That's utterly ridiculous. James Madison, the Father of the Constitution, specifically called out unconstitutional legislation (the Cod Fisheries Bill) and explained WHY it was unconstitutional. Congress needs to go back to debates about the Constitutionality of bills. If it means Congress falls into arguments like what we saw in the British Parliament... so be it. Right now 90% or MORE of what DC does is unconstitutional, and we have an unbalanced budget (and a HUGE Federal debt) to show for it.
U.S. Government: Let's be so boring everybody tunes out and doesn't notice we get nothing done. U.K. Government: Everybody already knows we get nothing done, so let's at least be entertaining.
Actually they make you think they get nothing done, that's the trick. They've been adding more and more regulation than they never mention in campaigns and no one notices. Look at cato institute or heritage foundation, our freedom has declined from top 5 in the world economically and almost the best in the world socially to not even making it in the top 20 economically and barely top 20 socially
Unlike the us the uk government provides something to their people for all the money we pay them, sure its entertainment and not governance but at least we get something
@@anjelkanja8032 yeah cope with the 30 percent higher tax on income and significantly higher tax on property and sales. Imagine paying, counting all of your taxes, 60 percent of your income for "free" healthcare regardless of whether you use it, and having to wait on average 6 months longer for treatment that could save your life

(0:59) “On May 5th, 2010, the prime minister said, and I quote...” “Can you speak English?” “And then he said...” “FAK YOU!” “And everyone around him said...” “He do speak English”
Cos it's all still heavily based on Maritime law. Courts are the same here, not sure about America, but you defo use the same Maritime language in court.
More like a posh uni pub brawl which for most of these people mean their lives don’t change from when they’re 17.5 years old, so they’ve no idea how odd and silly they look to us normies.
His name is Jon bercow and he was an absolute treasure you should look for some of the compilations of him telling off our politicians. He treated them like idiotic little children and I fucking adore him for it.
@@KingJelly99980 Yup. I assume this was Cruz referring to the withdrawing of certain Dr Seuss books by the family recently because of racial stereotyping. Green Eggs and Ham was not one of them. But probably the only one he knew.
In the US, 80% of the room is 80+ years old and most of them are either asleep or way too old and devoid of energy to shout. And they'll stay there for at least another 10.
@@rajavlitra yep your right he should’ve called him stupid fucking squirmy piece of shit in parliament cause that would’ve turned out very well in parliament and on tv
I mean US politics is all sleek and quietly cynical...UK is like teens shouting over each other’s power point presentation. As a Brit It’s embarrassing tbh

US senator saying "sons and daughters, husbands and wives" calmly while another senator is sleeping in the backround, immediately followed by the absolute chaos that is uk parliament is the funniest shit to me
I'm not sure what's even crazier The fact that British people in the UK argue like sports fans in a pub during Parliament or the fact that Ted Cruz is reading freaking green eggs and ham in the middle of a Senate hearing...
@@brandoncastillo_05 during a filibuster you can talk about anything, as long as it just barely connects to the topic. @@scopilio13 Congress, Supreme council, Bundestag, Sejm, Knesset, Medjilis, Alting, Duma, Rada - all these thing are parliaments. Its just many countries have their own ways how to call theme
I guess the US has to give a send off to its broken as hell system somehow. The UK meanwhile is so old it’s seen it all 😂 In a serious answer, it’s because the strength of the UK’s Parliament is just that: it’s rowdy and politicians are challenged on what they say every 2 minutes. True accountability. In the US meanwhile, there is only the illusion of accountability, their President is practically almost a King. Ik it’s exaggerated, but you get the idea, the level of accountability is much less when people are able to speak.
@@dedogeritterbrudder4928 as a politics student, there’s a difference: in the UK Parliament the separation of powers is blurred, in the Congress the President is not allowed to stand in Congress. The difference sounds minuscule, but it does matter a lot. In essence, the UK is a parliamentary system while Congress is part of a Presidential system. Yes, it does mean something, yes it is an important difference and not just academic names. Speaking of names, I applaud you, Sir Doge.
Im glad someone finally notices this, as a scottish person its fucking hilarious that people think we are all calm and posh (People say “British people are so posh” without realising Scotland is in Britian)
The comparison is bullshit. The USA clips were all from mostly empty rooms or during speeches, whereas the UK clips were from open discussions and addresses. Even disregarding the above point, whilst the UK Parliament is rowdier, neither Government ever seems to get anything actually positive done.
@@bigpotato8 Dude there's a time and place for everything. Minister watching porn in the middle of an important parliament session is shameful. Otherwise we don't care.
Filibusters couldn't happen in the UK, because within the first minute you'd have the entire congregation shouting "GET ON WITH IT!" Edit: Why is this my most liked comment it's not even that good lol
British News: "The Prime Minister took part in disrespectful behavior..." American News: "10 Reasons why the current president is the AntiChrist! Number 5 will surprise you!"
