No click bait. It is a fact that Erriyon Nighton breaked all best records for 200m of Usain Bolt for same age (17,18,19 years of age) but multiple times when Bolt expected to see his juvenile records to last more years. Michael Johnson's records are the goals for Nighton and Tebogo, who will be over Lyles during 2024. Both young guys are a new sprinters to run under 19seconds 200m. Letsile Tebogo might be the best of all. If he gets more competition like Erriyon does, he might dominate 100m (already 9.91 as a 19 years old runner) and 200m because is faster that Erriyon in a 100m dash. However, Erriyon Nighton could challenge the world record of 400m, additionally to 200m because he has that talent. Noah Lyles is a very talented runner, but the next generation is coming in !! 😊

@darrylb5247 9 месяцев назад
Obviously, Lyles, Knighton and Tebogo are at the top when at 100% and while Fred Kerley and a couple others can get in the mix, Knighton with the advantage of youth should prevail in the long run. His goal of an 18.99 is realistic if he can combine a peak performance with a freaky quick (but still legal) reaction time in the 0.1 to 0.125 second range. Yohan Blake`s 19.26 was done with a 0.269 reaction time...that same performance with a 0.119 RT (0.15 seconds faster) would have dropped that 19.26 to 19.11, so Lyles goal of 19.1 is there to be had too. At a 10th of a second faster a year, Knighton can reach 19.00 by age 25 if he stays focused and healthy.

I'm a huge Knighton fan. He's handled himself beyond his years. He will be in the history books forever.
