I got these for Christmas. I had the regular air pods and the difference is unbelievable. The features the pro 2 ones have is mind boggling. Highly recommended. The price is steep but I was told they were $250 but on sale for $200. I can honestly say they are well worth $250

I finally got these after having the original pros since launch. I am loving these. The ANC is killer and the adaptive mode and conversation awareness is really useful. And now I’ve finally went all USB-C, as my old Pros were my only lightning device left. These are great. I’m glad I waited and didn’t get the lightning version.

Nice Thanks Aaron! They should've also made a control center toggle to find your AirPods from your phone with the beeping noise too like the watch in iOS 17. I know you can charge the lightning AirPods pro 2 with the iPhone 15, but can you charge the lighting ones with the 13 or 14 iPhone's? I am wondering when they will change the keyboard and magic mouse to usb-c now, so you can carry around just one cable.

Great content Aaron. I am still using AirPods Pro original version. I also have the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which is lightning. So I don’t mind still having that lightning charge cable plus I always charge them wirelessly anyway. I think I’m going to wait until the next generation of AirPods Pro to come out before I purchase them.

Does anyone have issues connecting their AirPods Pro 2 to their Apple Watch. Mine rarely wants to auto connect. I’ve tried repairing the watch and the AirPods and that kind of fixed it. Am i doing something wrong or can they not auto connect seamlessly like when they connect to an iPad/iphone. Also why can’t you control an iPad with an Apple Watch.

So I noticed something in the settings of my usb c airpod pros If you try to use Crossfade it says Crossfade can not be used in Airplay mode. I’m using them in Bluetooth mode not AirPlay ?

The sound quality is better on the 2nd generation noticeably so. I don’t think there’s necessarily more bass though.

I got mine for $189 at amazon. I really not aware that the 2nd gen pro has a two version (coz i do have a 1st version still) so when i found it on amazon that its price is drop alil more so i decided to grab one not been thinking to get the USB C version (thought its the same thing as lightning port) but im glad its on USB C now coz im planning to update my fone this year the 15 pro max 😂

i am the only one who doesn't use cable to charge anything? Since i had the iphone 14 pro max i alwasy just used the magsafe chargers never bothered with the cables as the battery life is plenty and when i do need to charge it is when i go sleep so doesnt really matter how fast it charges. I love fast chargers with my andriod but better battery life over fast charging is a defo for me. Ofcourse both would be great and make it wireless even better.

Maybe the lossless audio only works within a small distance from the streaming device, that is why it will only work with the Apple Vision Pro. That would be my guess.

If that was your guess, you would be right! Since they normally use Bluetooth technology to transmit data, and Bluetooth has so many restrictions, Apple can’t send lossless audio, but with the Vision pro, they can use a airdrop-like technology that mixes Bluetooth and wifi.

@@That_Gingerbread It may not even need wifi, although it is possible. If it uses wifi I don't know if it would have the distance restriction that I guessed. My thought process was: The error rate for the bluetooth transmission increases the farthest you are from the streaming device. By being close to the streaming device you get less error, thus more bandwidth is possible.

Buy a renewed 13 Pro in some 3rd party stores which are not official by Apple and have a warranty of parallel importer. 2. Buy refurbished from eBay which I’m still not sure how to get a 13 Pro in a good enough condition like a new one with 256GB and from a reliable and not so expensive seller. Any suggestions? Please help.

Loseless with airpods pro 2 works only with vision pro. And yes you need the usb c version

Hi, Aaron. I have bought airpod pro 2 usb-c version recently. But I found that my firewire is still stuck on firewire 6A300. I don’t know if it is related to the old firewire, the experience of new adaptive mode is not as good as mentioned. I have tried every possible way to force it to update to the latest firewire 6A301. But nothing is working. What is the fireware version of your new airpod pro 2? Did you facing the same situation or any solution for that. Thanks so much.

The firmware for the USB-C is 6A300, only the lightning has 6A301. To my understanding it's the same firmware.

Phone doesn’t matter - iOS version does. As long as your phone supports the latest iOS you’re good in terms of getting all the features of the buds. I’m not seeing the 14 Pro missing out on the updates in any foreseeable future so don’t worry!

This feels weird for those who bought the AirPods from last year. Personally I don't regret the purchase at all, since for over 8 months (Black Friday sale), the experience is really nice to this day. After the announcement however, it feels sad that people can't get the same features (5ghz should be available by modem update, just like how the MacBook Air from 2022 got bluetooth 5.3 in 2023).

I still don't understand why the Pro 2s didn't originally come with a USB-C port last year, but I'm just going to deal with using one Lightning cable until the Pro 3s come out in a few years. No sense in spending another $250 just for the port.
