USB Charging problem with surface power adapter 

It's not a problem, it's because the phone is pulling to much Wattage out of the charger and so it cuts on and off, because it can't charge both at the same time. If you plug in another device with lower power consumption, like a USB alarm clock or something, this won't happen.

same issue with my surface book 2 even not plug in any usb to the charging charging plus so how to fix the issue.

Claudio Jaramillo is right. Charger is working fine if you use it for low power devices. Just tested with sonys old model phone.

I lost the charger cord, how do I charge it or where can I find the charger cord? Please reply

This was meant for a maximum of 5v made for low charging devices

Wonder if it's anything to do with the way the phone charges. I have an Xperia and so does someone else in these comments. Same issue. As someone below said - it must be the phone drawing too much current or something. It happens to mine even if I don't have the surface plugged in at the same time.

I am like 4 years late for the video. Maybe I can help future people looking for a solution. My surface book 2 charger just had this issue. I got the charger to work again by using an easer to clean the pins on the charger.

Hi. My Surface PRO charger does not work sometimes and I could not charge my Surface PRO . After Some plug in and Plug out AC input or charger port on the Surface PRO, it take charge and it happen when Surface PRO on or off. How can I solve this ? 🌹🌹

Thats how i destroyed my surface charger, I connected USB to that pot, it stopped working from that day.

It won’t charge my computer for some reason the light won’t come on

mine too, sometimes it's blink sometime is not, so weird.

I also have this issue with Surface Pro 4 and Sony Xperia. I will try to charge an other phone and see if it works.
