In this video I explore the possibility to repair a 'NO MEDIA' USB Flash Drives using a so called MPTool (mass production tool). ChipGenius: www.softpedia.com/get/System/... MPTools etc: www.usbdev.ru/
A small correction: The software is made by or for the companies that develop the controller chips, which are then manufactured and sold to the drive manufacturers. Think of the controller like a car's engine.
@@DiskTunaDo you know how to add a chip ID to MPTool? Got flash ID 45 48 99 B3 7A 6B and it's a 512GB Sandisk 3D NAND chip. Got one of those SM3281AB boards from eBay and the chip from a failed SSD.
In general I'd advise against fixing 'broken' USB flash drives. Likely the cause is bad NAND which this 'fix' does not solve. The USB drive corrupting like this 95% certain is a symptom, using a MPtool solves the symptom, not the issue.
@@soundspark OK. Still in general I wouldn't recommend it. Bit like one person happily uses a hard drive with 20 reallocated sectors without issue, still I would not recommend it in general.
