@@treeinch252those who followed the program closely the last few months had a pretty good idea defense was gonna be a lot better. Huge coaching upgrade and a pretty good personnel upgrade over last year. Big strength and conditioning upgrade too. I thought SC had an even chance to win it outright and definitely would beat the spread. But it was a tough game against a good team.

What is interesting is #2 on LSU (ejected for targeting) would have been the person preventing that TD run. His backup was out of position. Otherwise it would have been (hopefully) a good FG with time up. The announcers discussed that part during the waning seconds of the game (not in this video). Anyway that one penalty lost the game.

True, but his penalty after his TD didn't help either as the ensuing kickoff landed SC at almost midfield. Stupid mistakes cost more than bad reff'ing...........
