Following my customisation of the white button, I've decided to build another transceiver using the "red corner" as the basis. Like the white button, this will have a speech processor too. It will also use a different encoder and weighted knob, a larger LCD, a different audio stage, rotary mic gain and volume pots and voice recorder for short scripts and calls. Hope you enjoy seeing this build and that someone may be inspired to play with their Chinese SDR.

I would offer to cut it out for you on my mill... but I'm guessing the shipping cost would be prohibitive. PS... I have very little idea what any if this is about, but it's good to see you getting on with it... This stuff is a little over my head.

Cheers Joel. Well I managed to do an ok (ish) job using a 1mm cutting disk in my angle grinder for the longer cuts and then drilled, cut and filed the sides, but thanks for the offer. Hope all is good with you? I fired up the heater yesterday and it looks like we will start needing it soon, Autumn is really with us now. Cheers and thanks 👍

@@shanehogarth6373 Yes, if you take your time and get lucky, a cut off disc can work wonders, haha. Things are going pretty well here. We have already had enough cold weather that I got to do some heater testing in my truck, and it was a win, for sure. Vevor has sent me a 2kw heater and I will be installing it in my buddys Toyota 4Runner in an upcoming video... using what I learned from my build, so his will be better, haha. The work you are doing is impressive. Likely more impressive if I understood more about what you are doing. The way you talk about this stuff, it's obvious you have a pretty good understanding of it all. I am much more of a plug and play sort of guy, but I can appreciate what you are doing.
