This one just popped up! I’m loving this idea. I’ve cut out a pattern that is more detailed and just gone around it then added detail. But this idea is amazing!

this is so great I have this book ! just got a Qnique 15pro and am doing pantos but this is a great idea for BLOCKS!

It was hard to pay attention to your video because your quilt is so cute I couldn't stop looking at it, I love it, I love the colors used, everything! Thank you so much for your videos, fantastic idea that I will definitely use. I've always used the laser from the back of the machine, I never even thought of using the laser on the front side of the machine, so simple, thank you!

Great idea! It works really well tho it's awkward to stop to move to next area. After a few times though, I find that I can replicate the new design without the laser if it's not too complicated. Thanks!

Yes! Build that muscle memory. This is great for block work and anything with repetition becomes easier! Fantastic news.

I love your videos! I have a Handi Quilter Simply Sixteen on a 10 foot frame, but room size does not permit me to stitch from the machine back. I did not invest in the computer system, so this would be a perfect way for me to do pantos. Thank you for sharing this!

Yes, this is the only way I use the laser light because I don't do Pantagraphs; I even make a copy of the plastic template and go from there for all over design for a block.

This is great. How about a video for machine quilting, the laser light, and a domestic sewing machine like a Juki 2010?

I bought this laser light tracer, believing it would work on a domestic machine but I have not had success yet. Can you help me

I would love to try that on my Juki (domestic sewing machine, not long armed). HOw does that work??

I love watching your videos, they are so helpful. I do have a question. If I wanted to do a border with a laser design, like you did, it would get tedious repeating the same design over and over. Isn't there a way with Quilt Path that you could record the initial laser design, save and then do multiples? If so, could you show that process. Thanks!
@BoldNotionQuilting
@BoldNotionQuilting 4 года назад
yes there is a way to record! but it might be easier to just set borders in QP

Thank you for the great video. I have a HQ Simply 16 and I use a similar system to make my own Continuous pantographs. I can only quilt a width of about 6 - 9 inches depending on whether the design nests or not. Is there a way to set up so that I can do a taller design ?
@BoldNotionQuilting
@BoldNotionQuilting 4 года назад
not if your machine will only accommodate a panto graph that size. is this because of how you pin your panto graph or because of your machines throat size?
@Juno17B
@Juno17B 4 года назад
Bold Notion Quilting the throat size is only 16 inches.

I’m wondering if this would be successful with a sit down long arm?
@BoldNotionQuilting
@BoldNotionQuilting 3 года назад
Definitely worth trying!

Can you use this on a sitdown machine?
@BoldNotionQuilting
@BoldNotionQuilting 4 года назад
I am not sure how you could apply this on a sit down machine but I'm willing to try it myself!
@jodi3992
@jodi3992 4 года назад
I think it would. Instead of moving the machine/laser to trace the stationary design the quilt and pattern are moved around so that the laser point stays on the pattern.

Genius, I don’t do pantographs, so have never used my laser,

I have a Millie but my lazer holder is on the top in the front. How did you attach it to the side?
@phylliscampbell2325
@phylliscampbell2325 3 года назад
I see that this mounting is available at your website. Somehow I missed that at the beginning. I have a 2019 Millie. Would this technique work with my lazer on the top? I going to try it! Thank you for the demo!!!
