Use a Parameter Collection Track in Unreal to Animate Material in Sequencer Quick Material Animation Tutorial: • Unreal Animated Materi... Advanced Mask/Layered Material Tutorial: • Gold Cloth Material .....
Excellent, a bunch of tutorials I found before this all made things so unnecessarily complex with blueprints etc, but your tutorial has just got to the point plain and simple. Client request now achievable, thank you.
Good job! Because I haven't watched it earlier, I've done a sequencer changing every single actor's material that I needed to change individually! Lots of time wasted... Lesson learned sir. Cheers!
Yes - (see the first material instance video) - this solves the "how do I animate materials in sequencer" question I get a lot as well as "how can I animate a bunch of material parameters all at once" question
I agree, this one is tricky to get a camera in sequencer to capture it. Whenever I use sequencer or take recorder, it still doesn't capture the material changing color. Nor blueprints for some reason
OHHHHHHH..... OHH BABY JESUS.... i was going crazy searching for tuts.. I wanted to animate an emessive light.. from off to slowly dimming it to a bright light... this should work right? or do you have another way to make it? thank you!
Sure, probably can do it multi-ways. You might want to use a LERP to add various entropy masks - check out my "advanced mask/layered materials" link above
