Use Linked Text in Word to Update Multiple Documents at the Same Time 

You might have a situation where you have multiple documents that use the same text and when you update one of them, you need to have those same changes applied to all of them. Rather than update them all individually, you can create a text link that ties your main document to your other documents. That way when you make a change to the specified text on one, all of your other documents will be updated at the same time.
