British Army training film from 1960 on the correct use of the 0.30 caliber Browning machine gun on AFVs as a coaxial weapon, mounted on the roof for the commander, and even dismounted from the tank for a ground role.
Footage includes Centurion tanks with both 20 pdr. and 105 mm, and the Saladin armoured car.

All these films were pertinent in the 70's and 80's, and I'm certain the principles are valid today, just like the ones on camouflage. There's some instructor in a turret now,yelling 'be bold, gunner, be bold!'

Still applies today, whether its 0.303" or 7.62mm. Although some fire control orders are now abbreviated due to laser range finders, ballistic computers, etc.

@@stevengerda8536Ah thanks. I was guessing/assuming (always bad). I've used the 0.30 cal with 7.62 during my time, but thought that "back then" it was .303. Thanks for the correction.

British don't use .303 browning in their tanks, they use 7.62 (.308). The browning mk2 was mainly just used in their aircraft during ww2, it was chambered in .303 and fired in open bolt configuration. But since ww2 the British use Nato calibers.
