@@nickwoo1 Hi Nicholas. Just curious as to where you are. You haven't published any new RU-vid content in over a month and your Instagram page seems to have been deleted. I sure hope all is well with you and yours. I am missing your great content.
Thanks! I followed your advice and downloaded this app. It’s much easier to understand than i expected. I also like the ability to check completed eBay sales with Scoutly.
I’m glad it’s working for you!! I didn’t know you could use it to check completed eBay sales! So thank you for that info! I’m going to learn all about it. 😃
Hi Nick, your videos are awesome! I got a question though: when you enter all your inventory into Amazon, do you put the actual price you paid for each book to keep track of the total profits, or just the average price you usually pay for them? Thank you!!
So wait, you need a monthly subscription aswell as an amazon seller account to use the app? Is there anyway to use it without needing the Amazon account?
Hi! I just downloaded the Scoutly app and I love what I see from it. My question was when you go to a thrift store to scan used books, what should your basic trigger be set at as compared to when you go to scan new books?
Scoutify 2, scoutly, scoutiq, and [the worse of the bunch] profit bandit all have their pluses and minuses but when comparing from a feasible perspective it just makes sense to use scoutly. Scoutiq is cool but paying $44 then having to pay a listing app anywhere from $24-$34 cuts in to the bottom line. Scoutly + turbo lister aren't the best but I make them work for me.
Does Amazon pickup books to put in their warehouse if your close to a distribution center. and if not you said you ship your books and are you taking into consideration that cost when you finalize your profit?
Hi Nicholas, great videos! :) Love the white board idea for goals. Going to sign up for Scoutly and seeing it comes with Turbo Lister, do you not use this app?
hi, very interesting videos, thank you. Question, you haven't mentioned anything about shipping costs of your inventory to Amazon Distribution locations. What are those costs, and, how much does that take out of your "computed" profit?
Hello! I have recently been watching your videos on book selling and Amazon FBA. I have a question about the ScoutIQ app. I started playing with the app last night with some books I found in my parents basement. A lot of them actually came up with a nice profit, however no prices were showing in the “FBA” column, rather only the “all” column. Does this mean these types of books wouldn’t be good ones to sell on Amazon?
so all that means is that the people that are selling those books are selling them as merchant fulfilled instead of fulfilled by Amazon. I would say that if the profit is there and the books are under 1Million rank, they would probably be worth sending to Amazon as FBA. If they are higher than 1M rank, than you might want to sell them as merchant fulfilled. I hope that answers your question. :)
So $75 a month just to start? If I wanted to just donit as a hobby or yo fet a little extra cash every now and then, do you recommend to just stick to the Amazon reseller app? Sorry, new at this.
Hi Nicholas this was a great video because I was having issues with my triggers and you really explainded it well. Also I know sales rank sometimes doesn't tell the whole picture but what sales rank do you stick with when it comes to books. I had my trigger set at 1 million but I think I should move it back to 700,00 thousands. Thanks
Was having trouble with my scanner watch the lens if it gets scuffed by the laser it wont work good peeps wanted to comment on this video just to say you look like Doc Holiday
I like these business models much better than dropshipping. Most of dropshipping is pipe dreams. Example cheap iPhone 12 case off allieexpress. Alibaba whatever. #1 shopping is like 2 months. #2 I promise you Allie has its own eBay account as well doing the same thing cheaper then you can. The only way I see this working is buying say 20 cases for 75 cent a piece 2$ shipped and when they come selling for 6 because you can now ship faster which makes your item worth more. But then theirs shipping and eBay fees. How does that ever work? Lol
Either way if doable for a part time seller, but if you want to keep more profit, FBM is the way to go. (This is strictly my opinion.) It will require a bit more work though.
Amazon charges 15% fee for used books and a $1.80 fee for processing, if you buy a book for $1.00 and it sells for $10.00 you should still be making a profit but the app is rejecting it on your video, why is this?
Scoutify 2, scoutly, scoutiq, and [the worse of the bunch] profit bandit all have their pluses and minuses but when comparing from a feasible perspective it just makes sense to use scoutly. Scoutiq is cool but paying $44 then having to pay a listing app anywhere from $24-$34 or paying scoutify + inventory lab $50 cuts in to the bottom line annually. Scoutly + turbo lister are not the best but I make it work to my advantage.
humbleanger I agree. And if I’m not mistaken, some of those that you mentioned don’t show “days with sales” (Scoutly does), which IMO is very important information! You can correct me if I’m wrong on that. Thanks for you feedback!
@@nickwoo1 I'll jump in and say yes, you're correct; and, I think Scoutly IS by far the best. Its only real weak point is the same as that of all 3rd-party software, Amazon's API limitations.
