In my experience they won't offer OEM warranties on any cars over 3 years old, only horrible service contracts that you really don't want.

Does the warranty cover owners who opt to make bolt on modifications like cat back exhaust and coilovers?

I have owned both a WRX and STI and adding a catback exhaust did not void the warranty because it won't actually change anything but the sound. Turboback exhaust would be a problem though, since it would actually affect the engine and would require a tune. And coilovers won't matter with most warranties because suspension is considered a "wear item" and won't be covered in the first place.

Agreed. The 2022 looks amazing. I put gold wheels on my WRB 2022 and it looks so much better than the VA gen. Put some trim detailer on the skirts and flares and make them really dark black and they look so good.

You obviously haven’t driven both….don’t be fooled by the “STi“ badge as the new WRX is a superior car in all ways except for the transmission.

@@SuzukiKid400 I actually own both, well my wife has the 2022 wrx I had a 2021 STI but traded it in for something much better, so I actually know from ownership and comparison the STI is still far much better.

The VB 2022 has better styling than the VA gen. It doesn’t look like a generic econobox anymore. The new front end is amazing, the bulges over the wheels on the rear quarters look really good, the side skirts that flare out a bit look great and aggressive and the wheels flares also look aggressive and are functional to protect from rock chips. The new interior is very nice with the suede seats and infotainment, and the new chassis and suspension is second to none. The car drives amazingly and is a pleasure to daily drive. The stock tuning on the 2022 motor is so good. Very good low end torque and it’s usable power all through the rev range. This is coming from someone who used to have an STI and now has a 2022 WRX.

Subaru is disappointing its main car enthusiast.. the major individuals who love subi's. Now they are becoming school boy bit$#. Down grading instead of building more powerful and superior handling Subi's.

I would buy and modify the 2022 for sure(and have). I’d never buy a used WRX or STI. Most are beaten and abused by their owners. I’ve had a 2018 STI and now a 2022 Limited. I like it a lot more.

Thanks for making up fake information. The new WRX handles better and is faster than the last gen STI. Also, it has a 6 speed manual. They’re both amazing cars, but after owning both, the 2022 is light years ahead!!!

@@SuzukiKid400 its not the sti 6 speed with thicker gearsets. And the 6mt in these cars are just the Subaru 5 speed with a extra gear. Also the boxes can't handle much power. So weak split case and small gearsets. Do you research first. You will blow up the gearbox if you launch these cars continuously.
