Im confused about your complaint regarding usb hubs. Usb-C is a connector standard; it has nothing to do with the data connection standard. If you need to connect multiple usb-c devices and the hub has only USB type A, just use a USB A to C cable.
Hi, have a question about your KB1, when you rotate volume knob from click to non click position and let it, does volume increase itself to max, same with deacrese volume. I have KB1 and this happen on Windows.
Hello. No, I don't experience this behaviour with mine using it with R7 (I don't have Windows machine to try). It registers only full clicks and changes volume step by step. I tried to rotate it slowly and hold in the "middle" position, but it did nothing until a full click
Grat video! I saw your review and I was on the fence about buying it. Yor review helped me decide to buy R7. Could you explain how you got the VU Meter visualization on your R7 screen? Thanks for your review! 🎶🎶😎😎
It's from Amazon. Just search "Orico M2 case", and it'll show you options. Based on photos, R9 should be available soon, but it'll be much higher in terms of price.
Great video! Many thanks! Ordered the KB1 already! :) And I am highly interested in the cable to make 3 USB C Ports available. But it seems I am not smart enough to find it on AEX. If you do not mind, are you able to share the link as well? :)
I just used "usb-c splitter cable" search on Ali, and it showed tons of them But I've seen many complaints about them, so probably not a full replacement for a hub Mine is working Ok, but I use it mainly for FiiO KB1/USB-C thumb drive
I haven't test UAPP here as I like FiiO's player (I'm in a minority here), but in R7's thread on head-fi many people discuss UAPP, so most probably it's working. As for a PEQ, FiiO added one to their music app too. I don't use Tidal as I'm Apple Music subscriber, but most probably it's possible. If I remember right, Tidal allows you to select where it should put cache, so it can be on SSD too (but I'm also not 100% sure here)
Hello, unfortunately I didn't have any suggestion here. I thought about getting some compact external screen (AliExpress has a plenty of offers), but I drop that idea after some thinking, extra monitor simply doesn't fit into my scenarios
no, R7 won't be OK for gaming, as it has a delay in DAC mode. you need to consider some DAC with a dedicated USB chip (usually XMOS) also, DACs usually don't have mic inputs
thank you! sure, it's 2 Tb I'm just old enough to remember the time of the first thumb drives that measured in Mb :) I has an avarage sized LG drive with 8 Mb (while biggest ones with 32 Mb were too big) So I remember that "we live in the next generation", but internall for me it's "gigabytes, not megabytes" :)
