The flexible end caps are called passive radiators. They help regulating the internal pressure of the speaker and enhance the bass that way.

It prevents the speaker from rolling and hepls the speakers to face upwards.

If you haven't figured it out by now, disconnect your Bluetooth on your own phone for your wife to connect her phone via Bluetooth. There is no feature in where more than one phone can share connectivity with one device speaker. This may change with Bluetooth V6. There maybe a firmware update but I have not found it to update connectivity with my own Flip6. All JBL devices with Party boost have the same issue with connectivity. If there was a way to turn off party boost mode then you should be able to do more with the device like equaliser adjustments.

As soon as a call comes in, the speaker will stop audio playback and the phone plays the ringtone

There is another youtube tutoural video on how to manually change the EQ setting on the speaker in the event the app fails to work with EQ settings

If I remember right, then JBL disabled it in this model.

Unfortunately not. It doesn’t have any tracking features.

You can add a air tag or tile tracker to it but it will be visible and the person who stole it can just take it off

Try again; with speaker powered on, hold PLAY and + until it turns off. Then once you turn it back on, BT will be flashing.

The speaker does not have a built in microphone. That’s why it does not work for calls of any kind.

@yayastoures2133 Correct. Unfortunately phones do not allow this. I wish there was a way around that behavior. If there is a way, then I have not found it yet.
