One day, I had a terrible headache. And I was going to take some Tylenol and my friend told me not to take the Tylenol. She said I have something better. She rub some frankincense oil on my forehead and the back of my neck. It took just a few minutes, and my headache was gone. Now I always keep that oil handy. Thank you for sharing.
Frankincense is excellent for Arthritis anywhere on the body especially in the spine! It's spectacular! It has kept me functional with auto immune disease as well as pain!

Amen. Matter of fact, I was asking my self the question a few days ago, Why myrh and frankincense besides gold was the gift presented to our Saviour and then Lord?? If gold is valuable as we all universally know, then the other two must also be valuable. If the three wise men where given the understanding of the great importance of Baby Jesus, then they must also have recieved devine knowledge to choose the two other gifts to add to the gold as a gift to baby Jesus and parents. A few drops of Frankincense on the back of your neck and rub into your temples can help with anxiety. I had an abscess tooth and applied a few drops directly to my tooth and soaked a cotton ball before placing it on the infected tooth. Within 10 minutes, I could literally feel it bubbling/fizzing on the infected spot and my tooth and it was completely healed. 🥰🙏
I have a sheltie that developed a tooth abscess...being new to the area I hadn't found a holistic vet and I am NOT about to expose my dogs to reg vets...EVER. So I carefully applied frankincense to the inflamed gum. Followed up with Schussler cell salts and colloidal silver. It took a few days of faithfully doing this. It did clear up and it heal. I use frankincense oil almost every single day, I use it for general purposes like just washing my hands and I rub it all over my neck,face , and chest before I go to sleep every night it's very beneficial to protect yourself from all kinds of diseases that can hit you up later in life.

frankincense is essentially a sap that comes from the boswellia tree. In the middle east (I even buy it in canada from the Arabic stores) it comes in little nuggets. my husband takes a teaspoon of it and soak it in water for two days(longer if you want it more bitter) in a glass and drinks it. Its amazing for your blood.

Frereana grows in Somalia, not only that but also carteri and sacra. No other country in the world have all three. Frankincense and myrrh grow wild in (land of punt) Somalia. Sacra grows in Oman but it's the only frankincense that grows there.
I use frankincense oil on my skin....my face had a lot of irritation and redness but has disappeared with the use of this wonderful oil. I never thought of using it before praying or reading scripture...going to try that from now on! thank you and God bless

Lauren I hope this is helpful; GRAS - Generally Regarded As Safe. Some e-oils are not designed for ingestion &/orto use neat (Directly on the skin without a carrier oil) GRAS usually means it is safe to use full strength on our skin and can also be digested, only the purest of course. Therapeutic or organic grades. Watch out for citric oils, mostall of them should not be used on the skin before going outside in the sun.

@@abiprice7085 I take boswellia capsules for Crohn's disease. The powder extract is a lot cheaper to buy. I acquired Crohn's disease through food poisoning so boswellia is perfect. It also helps with irritable bowel syndrome which I also have.

meghna naidu I add a few drops into a little bottle of jojoba oil. I wash out all my dark glass bottles I get to save them for my oil mixtures. I put maybe one or two tablespoons of jojoba oil in a bottle, add about 2-4 drops of each frankincense and lavender. Both are great for the skin. Acne, scars, age spots, sun spots, it helps with all of that!! I make a homemade body lotion with beeswax, olive oil and coconut oil, and vitamin e...and I add about 1-2 teaspoons of frankincense to that. You can add a drop or two frankincense or lavender oil to any of your current products to get the benefits, I just prefer to use homemade or all natural cause I truly believe they’re better for our skin and bodies. 😊

Thank you for explaining the different types of frankincense that our out there - didn't realize that was the case. I'm currently using the Boswelli Sacra, which is derived from Oman/India and that really helped with headache and hair loss.
@@manilowgirl9864 You can also rinse w rosemary tea. We dilute castor oil w argon and applied to scalp, scalp massager. I personally had excellent luck after Covid w using henna if you are able.

I'm having a knee surgery for acl, mcl, and meniscus this Friday. I'm being prescribed some heavy duty painkillers for post surgery and was hoping for an alternative. Do you have any suggestions? Is the Morphine Bomb (6 drops Frankincense, 6 drops Oregano, 6 drops Lemongrass, gel capsule) a safe and healthy alternative? Any suggestions would be great and thank you.
@@Thurston1946 I infused arnica in a grape seed oil for 2 months. It’s a dry oil which is nice. Next time I’m going for sweet almond oil. I strained it and keep it in the dark dropper bottles. It’s a lifesaver for my knees and other achy joints and muscles. I’m now thinking of adding frankincense to my regimen

Hi Dr. Axe! Do you have a video on sleep? Like is there a difference between REM sleep and deep sleep or are they the same, and how much is recommended each night? I fall asleep fine most nights (with the help of melatonin) but wake up feeling exhausted. My fitness tracker says I'm averaging a total of 1h 23min of deep sleep each night. Night before last I got a little over 2 hours of deep sleep. Any information would be appreciated!

Dr. Axe, just so you know the Roman Catholic Church also uses frankincense in the resin form in the censor (called a Thurible) that is placed upon a burning charcoal ember previously placed into the thurible that swings down from a single chain or 3 chains (depending upon the style) and is used to incense both the people and in adoration of our Lord. It is usually used like you said for more special occasions such as Easter, funerals, special Holy Day masses etc. but can be used at the discretion of the priest at any time, even during public evening prayer (sometimes refereed to as Vespers or Evensong). In the Roman Rite Church it is usually referred to as Vespers. There is something to be said for the spiritual uplifting benefits from this Heavenly Gift but I don't think that most people in the pews know about the medicinal benefits that you listed. I have Multiple Sclerosis now going over 18 yrs I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia before I knew what MS was and in my early twenties I contracted Hep B. I have so much pain it's unbearable. Boswellia Frereana is devoid of boswellic acids, which are the active ingredients purported to be of such wide ranging benefit. This is the variety of frankincense which is so coveted as a scent that the Saudi's have been known to purchase an entire year's harvest in advance. It is much more expensive than the other varieties, and apparently of less therapeutic value. I would choose another variety, such as boswellia sacra, for therapeutic use as an antimicrobial or for arthritis.
