Recently I received a kind donation to the channel of a USIfAC (Universal Serial Interface for Amstrad CPC) - thanks to Dave (Velociraptor)!
The USIfAC is a low cost device that will get your CPC a serial interface to load software and even connect to online BBSes.
I was planning to do an in-depth look at the device but I ran into a snag through no fault of it's own. The snag was Windows 10 drivers, specifically for the serial to USB adapter recommended to connect the device to your Windows PC.
So this video is a plea for help - if anyone has one of these and has it working reliably with Windows 10 let me know. There are some workarounds that got it working for a while but the drivers are not stable with the latest Win10 updates.

Thanks for watching and thanks to Dave for the USIfAC! This will be an excellent way to expand my use of the CPC (when I get it working!) Anyone have any experience with this device? Please drop some tips in the comments! :)

Just got ULIFAC II for my 464. By inserting " |6128" it goes in 6128 mode with 256 K memory. Great card

Have you tried rolling the driver back on windows 10 then disconnecting it from the internet because it might be trying to update the driver again 🙂

Thats a great little device there. What type of files does it use? I saw in the example you've shown .bas or is it compatable with more?

It can load .BAS and .BIN as far as I know, maybe more?

Ignore PL2303 USB serial interfaces nothing but problems. Buy an FTDI based one instead, so much better.

Can I make one very 'tiny' criticism if I may be so bold? When you use background music it's a little bit distracting as it's often too loud. Still get a thumbs up though. 👍
