In explaining the phantom power set up, you say to take the cable from the GTs midid output and instead plug the nectar into the phantom power box. Then you say on the other side of the box use a 7 pin connector to plug into the Mastermind GT's MIDID output. How can you have tow cables into one output jack on the Mastermind GT. did I miss something? Please explain as I am strongly considering getting one for my Axe and want to know it can be properly powered.
That's our friend Dave Weiner (www.daveweiner.com). He plays in Steve Vai's band and has a couple of great solo albums, which that song ("The Mojo Rhyme") comes from.
I am running a mastermind gt22 into my rack rig which consists of a marshall JMP 1 preamp a TC electronic G-Force into a power amp what I want to know is if I get an AxeFx II will I be able to use my Mastermind to recall scenes that I program in my presets?
RJM Music Technology Inc, I mean to have a bass guitar running through it, and if there are any bass heads, cabs, pedals, etc. available with Axe Fx 2 to use for any bass rig/set up.
RJM Music Technology Inc, which could be used through the pedalboard as well, or would I have to purchase something like this specifically for bass? I'm a bit confused as I've not seen anyone really test this on bass.
We don't have a lot of bassists, but it would work just as well in a bass Axe-Fx rig. Your Axe-Fx presets would be configured differently, but the Mastermind GT setup would basically be the same. You might select different effect blocks to control, but the instructions in the video still apply.
+Ry Karl Make sure MIDI Bidir is turned on in the GT's MIDI settings. Also make sure that your MIDI cable has all five pins wired through - not all do. Also make sure you're running the latest firmware on both devices.
Hello, i checked and the MIDI BIdir was already turned on. My set up goes like this, i have an mini amp gizmo, effect gizmo and a fractal Axe II connected. I have checked the midi cable and it is 5 pin. However, i cannot tell if they are wired through :) Yes, i am running the latest software.
+Ry Karl The Axe-Fx has to be the directly connected to the GT, no other devices in between. If for some reason it can't be connected directly, you can connect the Axe-Fx's MIDI output to the GT's Remote In using another MIDI cable.
