I've been working for JVC in The Netherlands for more then 36 years and it's great to watch your review of this vintage JVC VHS-C camera. I don't know who designed the manual in Japan but I'm sure he is pleased with your kudo's! Thx for sharing this Chris
This past autumn, I found my grandparents Realistic vhs-c camcorder and tapes of family events, like Christmas from when I was a baby 20 years ago. I'm going to digitize these tapes onto DVD copies for my family members this year. Wish me luck!
It's such a nice bit of kit! And the picture quality and resolution isn't actually that bad. If you put it on a tripod and thus eliminate camera shake, it should give you amazing results. You should definirely shoot more videos with it!

Badass camera man!!! I want one but I’d honestly never use it so 🤷♂️ I’m loving all of the doors this slr680 has opened for me it’s amazing being able to perfectly frame images and such I’m doing something kind of different and taking shots of my favorite anime characters on my tv!!! It’s coming out beautiful I’m adding in glitches on purpose and so on the full control I have and the slr makes it easy and I LOVE THE RESULTS!!! I am also glad to see the ole Pontiac again!!!
It’s not for everyone. But it’s a lot of fun. Can’t go wrong with the SLR680. Pontiac is coming along nicely. Hopefully next summer I will have a new paint job for it.

I was hoping to find a video of you adding modern tech to the JVC GR-C1 I looked at the videos uploaded after this one but didn’t find it? Would you be able to link that video of you adding modern day technology to the JVC GR-C1? Or did that video get taken down?

Hi I’m looking to purchase one and the seller description says that when he looks through the view finder there is a red light on but nothing the rest is black he has not put any tapes in could that be a reason why he can’t see through the view finder?
