Sadly this is either so old a post that no ones is home to answer. However I actually got into the manual embossers and die cutters to work with Vinyl both iron on and adhesive as she's posted here on this video in 2017. So this is helpful still. What I'm looking for is a little less 101 and a little more 102 demo so will do more searching and watching on this subject. I want to know if you can use transfer sheets where you lay out a full design cut outs in vinyl onto a transfer sheet that you then in one swoop apply to your travel mug or if iron on a T-shirt etc. I may in the end just figure all that out or skip transfer and go with just application of each piece say a name like ALICE doing just one letter at a time and watching careful not to off set it unless that's part of the design concept. Also like Sharon R asked 2 years ago does the vinly leave residue in your or on your dies? That's something I've yet to find out and they how to fix. There are solvents however that one could use to clean but might be a very difficult or not so difficult task. Lots to grasp about vinyls cutting with a manual or electric feed embossing and cutting machine. PS also want to try laying down vinyl on thick cardstock expecially the metalics and glitters then using the 3D impression embossing and cutters to see what that results in. I think you could make some really cool stickers doing that. So off I go and Stay Safe EVERYONE and thank you Parsbee for your Video today as it's just lovely to know others have gone before me into the use of vinyls in this type of cutters.
I'm a new sub. I have a cuttlebug, spellbinder and cricut, all first revision. I don even know if I can still buy cartridges for the cricut. I'll be following you, it's like starting over. I was paper crafting when my kids were little. Now they are in their 30's, and I need to start crafting for grandkids❣😅 I'm excited. Blessings to you and yours.
I've had some luck with cutting permanent vinyl (not heat set) with sizzle dies. You have to keep adding shims to get a clean cut. Heat transfer vinyl is too thick to cut with dies. Also, I found that name brand expensive dies cut better than Temu dies. Hope that helps!
