Using Filmoplast P to Repair Torn Pages

Never use conventional tape to repair torn pages. The tape always degrades and the adhesive always fails within a year.
In the past I've used glue and thin paper to repair torn pages. As long as the repair materials are neutral pH and archival they will last a very long time. The advantage to this Filmoplast is that it's not only archival but you can continue with the repair project immediately and not have to wait a day for the glue/paste to set.

I don’t believe there is any record on the internet of what filmoplast looks like up close. Or before and after pictures using it for a repair.

On this video perfectly seems is tape not clear transperent, have a white color - restored paper more faded

I'm ready to send mine back. Can't get it separate. The box came smashed. No "cutting" tool. At this point I feel it is a waste of time and $.

Sorry to hear this. Once you get a good roll and get the tape off the backing it mends paper very well!

I had good luck separating layers by licking my fingers and rubbing the tape until the moisture broke apart the paper layer and I could peel off the sticky layer

I soaked the end of the tape in some water for a minute, and was able to get it to separate (after nearly driving myself bananas trying to separate it!)...thanks for your tip.
