Great video! That really makes me want one for my Roland FA 08...update.. Bought one for $499 in original packaging in like new condition...this thing sounds amazing with my FA 08
I have a Helix LT and Roland FA-07. While they both have a bit of a learning curve, the combination = endless possibilities. You can really let your imagination & creativity flow.
Rhodes WERE mono except… that when used with the Fender Rhodes “satellite speaker system” (2 powered cabs with 2 - 12” / ea), the tremolo was the most amazing stereo effect imaginable!! Especially on stage with the two cabs separated by 10’. PS - Great vid! Very helpful!
Very useful video, thanks! Couple of questions I had - if you wanted to use with both guitar and keys, would it be a pain to switch between the two? Is it possible to put a boss looper through the fx loop? Appreciate it has a looper built in, but I already have the pedal and figure it would save the HX stomp’s DSP
Thanks for watching Simon. Yes, the best way to use your Boss looper would be to add it to your chain of pedals and then use the mic/line in on the MODX. Effectively, this way you would simply be using it as a throughput to which ever speakers you're using that are connected to the line out of your MODX.
Nice work! How is using Helix with keys different to using the keys built in fx? -will it work well with Arturia Keylab 88 midi keys for fx instead of plugging the midi keys to a computer/daw? Thanks!
Hi! i would like to se how you´ve plugged in your effect to your keyboard. I was trying to use a wah-pedal with my modx but i didnt get any sound. Do you need special equipment or something else? thanks :)
Thanks for your question. Depending on what effect you would like to achieve, you'd need to utilise the AD L/Mono input for adding Wah to a guitar for example. Or, if you wanted to play the MODX sounds and achieve a Wah effect through your speakers, you'd put the Wah pedal in the chain before your speakers/amp using the Output R & L/Mono
Hi. Can you tell me how you connected the Casio keyboard to the Helix? I have an old keyboard i want to put through my helix, i’m going out of the ‘line out’ of the Casio into the helix but not getting any signal
Hi Jake. From what you've described, it seems as though you're connecting it up correctly. Have you tired the "Line Out" of the casio keyboard in to an amplifier to check that there is actually a signal?
