Spyros Heniadis what is the name/brand of your flash you have pointed to the backdrop. Not the camera name but the item used to light up the backdrop

Great video Spyros. I have recently bought a set of cheap Selens gels and they work really well with a Godox V350 to change backgrounds as per your video. I have yet to try it with a model in front. 😁 It's interesting that in your demo you used one light at 90 degrees to light one side of your face. So, if you wanted all of your face to be lit, retaining the background colour of choice, I'm guessing you'd need a second light also flagged. I have one Godox AD200 (it's superb but I can't afford another one yet), so is there a solution for using just one main light, illuminating the subject evenly, without washing out the background?

Great easy to follow tutorial. Tried it with fairly good results, only one issue J haven’t resolved. Some results are producing a coloured halo through my models hair. ¿Any ideas on how to eliminate?

I like how you have the backgrounds mounted. Is that something special you bought or is it a DYI? Looks like you also have some power up there also. Is that so you can remote operate them?

Hello! I was just wondering if with this flash tool if you are able to keep it on for a long about of time instead of just for a flash? For example, long enough to film a video?
@user-tn1yg1xf8i
@user-tn1yg1xf8i 4 года назад
you would need to get a continuous light to record a video, flashguns only give out quick bursts of light that release a lot of energy very quickly, to keep them on continuously would be too hot to use. Hope this helps
@carolhumber3592

can you have the flash you are using to light the background as a slave? will the subject light trigger it if there is a person standing in front of it?

Nice video 👍 what would happen if you double up the gels, like use two blue gels. Would you get a deeper blue?
@spyrosheniadis
@spyrosheniadis 5 лет назад
Yes! That'll give you deeper color!
@mikeosinski50
@mikeosinski50 5 лет назад
@@spyrosheniadis Cool thanks, oh doubling them up you would have to increase power to the flash since going thru what it be a darker gel correct?
@spyrosheniadis
@spyrosheniadis 5 лет назад
You’d want to increase the power a little bit, but if you go too far you’ll negate the deepening of the color by moving the exposure up, so it’s a bit of a balance. 😊

what about color cast? lets say i want to shoot a lens on a table an using a piece of blue cardboard as background.. the edges of lens will be casting a bluish color... how can i avoid that?
@foggie133
@foggie133 4 года назад
A few reasons I like your video. 1 most videos just say "do this and don't do this, don't do that" but don't say why . You say why and you also so why by giving examples. I also like that you show us the settings that you used... Shutter speed, f stop, flash power etc

The main flash I used in this video was the Godox TT600 (amazon link: amzn.to/2Cadkfg) In the umbrella I used a Neewer TT560 (amazon link: amzn.to/2EDzhne) (Disclosure: Some of the links I use are affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase.)

@spyrosheniadis

You could definitely use a beauty dish, you'll just need to control for it with the angle. Gridding the dish, and using flags will help too. :)

Nice one, I guess if the light source on the subject is in a softbox that should help prevent the light spill to the backdrop? I will try this out and see with a white backdrop. Also the colour drops off a little in the bottom left and right so I might consider using two flashes for my background when doing mine so no colour fall-offs in the bottom left and right sides.
@spyrosheniadis
@spyrosheniadis 5 лет назад
Yes, a soft box will absolutely help control that light spill and keep it off of the background, and 2 flashes on the bg is also a good way to get even more consistent color!
